Rush-Henrietta Continues Streak

Rush-Henrietta secured its fifth consecutive win against Schroeder with a 15-4 victory on Monday night. The Royal Comets set the tone early with seven goals in the first quarter and never looked back. Senior attacker Danielle Garrett led Rush-Henrietta’s offense with five goals and three assists, while Kate DeWald contributed four goals and two assists. Goalie Taylor Potwin made three saves in 48 minutes of play.

For the Warriors, Lola Wambach led the scoring with two goals and an assist. Senior Brooke Guelli recorded five draw controls, including the 100th of her varsity career. Goalie Maura Ugine stopped seven shots.

Rush-Henrietta improves to 4-2 on the season, while Schroeder falls to 0-5. Both teams resume play on Wednesday, with Rush-Henrietta hosting Irondequoit and Schroeder facing cross-town rival Thomas.     [ Story and BOX SCORE
