Geneva Tops Lakers in Tight Contest

Geneva (7-0) preserved its perfect season by narrowly defeating Livonia-Avon-Geneseo 16-15 in a competitive Finger Lakes matchup on Wednesday. Evelyn Little secured the game-winning goal with just 1:20 remaining in the fourth quarter. Makenna Harris excelled for the victorious Panthers, recording six goals, one assist, and six draw controls. Allison Marquart added four goals and two assists, while Meghan Forbes delivered four goals and three assists. Maddie Askin made eight saves in the win.

Livonia-Avon-Geneseo (2-3) received standout performances from Lily Rowe, who tallied five goals and three assists, and Sidney Clickner, who registered four goals and one assist. Other key contributors for the Lakers included Maddie Whitford (2g/2a) and Lily Rossborough (2g).

The Panthers will seek to maintain their unbeaten record when they play Mynderse-Romulus on Tuesday. The Lakers look to rebound Friday when they take on Newark-Midlakes.     [ Story and BOX SCORE
