Wayne Defeats Marcus Whitman
Wayne improved its record to 5-2 with a decisive 15-6 victory against Marcus Whitman (1-6) in a Finger Lakes game played at Wayne. With the win, the Eagles take a 7-6 lead in the series history between the two teams.
For Marcus Whitman, Helen Snyder tallied four goals and an assist. Raegan Weissinger (1g/1a) and Aubriella Bowman (1g) rounded out the scoring for the Wildcats.
Eighth-grader Sydney Shaw had a solid performance in net for Marcus Whitman, recording 18 saves.
This game marked another strong outing for the Eagles as they prepare to host Chittenango (section III) on Saturday. Meanwhile, the Wildcats will look to regroup before traveling to face Newark-Midlakes on Monday. [ Story and BOX SCORE]
