In a tightly-contested game between class B rivals, Irondequoit edged Canandaigua by a score of 9-7.

Leading the scoring for the Eagles were Lucy Whipple (3g), Shannon Seymour (2g), and Grace Bottiglier (2g). Ellie Bottiglier and Revlie Genier chipped in one goal apiece. Emma Francis made five saves in 48 minutes of play.

For Canandaigua, Samantha Lupton had three goals. Lola Schorr and Keira Gioseffi each recorded two goals and an assist. Aviana Nelson had 10 saves for a 53% save rate.

With the win, the Eagles even their record at 4-4, while the Gray Wolves fall to 5-4. Irondequoit's next game is against Fairport on Thursday. Canandaigua will face Mercy on Friday.     [ Story and BOX SCORE]
