Waterloo Tops Marcus Whitman
In a Finger Lakes matchup on Wednesday evening, Waterloo defeated Marcus Whitman 15-3. The win was Waterloo's 21st straight against Marcus Whitman. Maci Mueller (5g/2a) and Kinsley Bree (4g/3a) led the scoring for the Tigers. Bailey Rossignol and Ava Ruiz had two goals apiece. Lyla Ditzell scored her first varsity goal in the contest. Peyton Lyons stood out in the net for Waterloo (6-2), making nine saves and allowing only three goals for a 75% save rate over 48 minutes.
For Marcus Whitman (2-7), Aubriella Bowman (3g) and Keziah Moore (1a) accounted for all of the scoring. Eighth-grader Sydney Shaw reached a personal milestone of 100 career saves with her eight saves during the game.
