Mercy Earns Historic Victory Over CA

Mercy secured a 10-8 win over Canandaigua in a non-league matchup on Friday. It was the Monarchs' first victory against Canandaigua in program history. Maeve Shanahan led the scoring for Mercy with three goals. Mia Quagrello and Krista Harnischfeger had two goals apiece. Lydia Malvaso dished out three assists. Sophomore Elinor Meyer stopped six shots, setting a new program record for career saves.

For Canandaigua (5-5), Leah Sheridan (2g/1a), Lola Schorr (2g), Keira Gioseffi (2g), Samantha Lupton (1g), and Taylor Ennis-Chinn (1g) accounted for all of the scoring.

With the win, the Monarchs remain undefeated at 7-0 and will face Victor on Saturday. Canandaigua's next game, to take place Monday, is also against Victor.   [ Story and BOX SCORE
