Last Undefeated Team Falls

Spencerport (the last undefeated team) fell tonight to Fairport in overtime 7-6.  Other close games included Gananda over Newark 7-3, Penfield over Pal-Mac 9-8, Schroeder over HFL 16-15 and Aquinas over Mercy 9-7.  Rounding out game night: Mynderse over Gates-Chili 14-3, West Genesee over Victor 16-6, Rush-Henrietta over Livonia 16-6, Brockport over Ath/Ody 20-3, Thomas over Churchville-Chili 14-6 and Hilton over Eastridge 19-6.

Schroeder defeated HFL for the first time in their history 16-15.  The Cougars had won the previous 4 times that the two teams faced.  Payton Lill finished with 5g-2a to lead the Warriors.  The full story is HERE.

Brittany Pollack scored her third goal of the night in the first overtime period to give Fairport the 7-6 overtime win over Spencerport.  The Rangers were the last undefeated team in Section Five.  The full story is HERE.

Brockport defeated Ath/Ody 20-3.  During tonight's contest sophomore Leah Daly scored her 100th career goal (she finished the game with 5g and only need a single goal).  Daly has 34g-8a so far this season for the Blue Devils.  Even though she is only a sophomore she is verbally committed to Loyola.  Senior Jasmyn Jessmer (1g-5a today) also reached her 100th career point (she need 4 in tonight's game).  Additional stats are HERE.

Penfield took an early 6-3 lead at the half and held off the advance of Pal-Mac.  Alanna Fallone finished with 4g and 2 draw controls for the Patriots.  For Pal-Mac, Jamie Walker (2g), Aldyn Savage (2g) and Anna Leva (2a) led.  Additional stats are HERE.

West Genesee (Section III) travelled to Victor to play the Blue Devils.  After a close first half the Wildcats outscored Victor 10-4 in the second half.  Kaci Messier (2g-1a) was the only Blue Devil to finished with more than 1 point.  Additional stats are HERE.

Jordan Cunningham (1g-2a) led in scoring for the Blue Devils. Additional stats are HERE

Thomas was led in scoring by Mackenzie Travis (4g-1a).  Additional stats are HERE.

Mercy was led in scoring by midfielder Katie Sergeant.  Additional stats are HERE.

Mynderse led 9-0 at the half before going on to the 14-3 final.  Sadie Mapstone (3g-3a) led in scoring with Mykenzie Turner adding 3g-1a.  Additional stats are HERE.

Hilton had seven players make their offensive scorebook with Rachel Ryan (4g-3a) and Amanda Hilderbrandt (4g-3a) lead in the charge.  Additional stats are HERE.
