Marcus Whitman defeated Gananda-Marion 17-4 in a Finger Lakes matchup on Monday evening.

For Marcus Whitman (4-8), senior Helen Snyder (7g/1a) reached two milestones in the game: her 50th career goal and her 200th career draw control. Aubriella Bowman added five goals and an assist. Lesli Curtis (2g/1a) scored her first varsity goal. Helen Snyder and Raegan Weissinger combined to win 15 draw controls. Sydney Shaw recorded seven saves on 11 shots for a 64% save percentage.

Gananda-Marion (0-13) was led by Ella Michaels, who scored two goals. Malina Alejandro contributed a goal and an assist, and Lily Aylett's goal rounded out the scoring for the Blue Panthers. Allissa Dohse had six saves.

Both teams are back in action on Wednesday. The Wildcats will travel to Mynderse-Romulus to take on the Blue Devils, while the Blue Panthers will host Pal-Mac.     [ Story and BOX SCORE]
