Mynderse Pulls Ahead in Second Half

In a game that was back and forth for its entirety, Mynderse scored five of the last six goals to defeat Wayne 8-6.  By the end of the game the lead had changed four times.  Sarah Shaffer finished with 3 goals for the Blue Devils.

Wayne started off the game strong with the first two goals.  They scored unassisted goals from Bailey Jenkins and Bailey Pratt and led 2-0 until 10:36 remaining in the first half.  Mynderse added the next three goals to take their first lead of the game.  Shaffer scored back to back goals to start the scoring for Mynderse.  The lead change came from Sara Partee's lone goal of the game.  Wayne came back with 1:15 remaining to tie the game going into the half.  Casey Hibbard scored her lone goal of the game for the Screaming Eagles.  The score was 3-3 at halftime.

Mynderse won the second have 5-3, with all five goals coming unanswered.  Much like the first half, Wayne scored the first two goals and held the lead for about 10 minutes.  Hanna Zenelovic and Mary Panepento scored for Wayne.  Mynderse took 10 minutes to score 5 goals and move from trailing by two to leading by three.  Corin Zwick and Sadie Mapstone scored two each with Shaffer scoring her third goal of the game.  Mynderse led 8-5 with 4:58 remaining in the contest.  Wayne was able to get one more goal (Pratt unassisted), but it was not enough.

In the cage for Wayne, Morgan Osborne finished at 55% with six saves.  Pratt and Jenkins each finished with 3 draw controls for the Screaming Eagles.
