# 697  All Quarters : Top Seeds Move on
strong>DAY IN REVIEW: TUESDAY - The rest of the quarterfinals were played today, and all of the higher seeded teams won their games. Mercy had a bye in the quarterfinals (and they will be entered in the brackets as soon as their game is entered in rSchool), and so there were three games in class C. Wayne beat Brockport 8-6 and the HFL and Eastridge-BK games were mismatched wins. In Class B Canandaigua, Victor and Brighton were mismatched wins. Spencerport took a one goal lead in the first half and held off a strong effort by Irondequoit and won their game 11-10.

CHURCHVILLE-CHILI-4 at CANANDAIGUA-17 -  For the second game in a row, the Canandaigua Grey Wolves faced Churchville-Chili, with a very similar result.  Canandaigua will host Spencerport on Thursday for the right to advance to the Class B Final after beating Churchville-Chili 17-4 in quarterfinal action.  Senior Hanna Davis (4g, 5a) had a big night, finishing with 9 points, while Sophomore Lola Schorr (3g, 1a) also put in a strong showing, adding 4 Caused Turnovers and 2 Draw Controls to her offensive production.  Canandaigua had 10 different point-scorers on the evening.  Canandaigua beat Spencerport 9-6 in a tough match-up on Braves Field earlier this season.        [ BOX SCORE

NEWARK-MIDLAKES-0 at HONEOYE FALLS-LIMA-17 -  HFL knocked Newark-Midlakes out of Sectional play, blanking the Screaming Eagles 17-0.  Sophomore Shane Angelo (3g, 3a) led the Cougars with 6 points, Camryn Trybuskiewicz (2g, 2a) added 4 points as the HFL notched 11 different point scorers in the contest.  HFL advances to play Eastridge/BK on Thursday in Waterloo as one half of the Class C Semi’s.       [ BOX SCORE

THOMAS-7 at VICTOR-15 - In class B quarter-final play, The Victor Blue Devils defeated Webster-Thomas 15-7.  Allie Psiano (5g, 3a) and Devin Livingston (7g) led the way for Victor, while Webster-Thomas` season was ended despite the return of Addison Schaefer (3g) who was able to score a Hat Trick in Webster`s effort to pull off the upset. Livingston also corralled 12 Draw Controls for the Blue Devils.  Victor will face Brighton in Victor on Thursday for chance to play in the Class B Sectional Final.  Victor defeated Brighton 5-4 in overtime in their regular season match-up.         [ BOX SCORE

GENEVA-4 at EASTRIDGE/BK-19 - Eastridge/BK advanced to the Class C Semi-Final in convincing fashion with a 19-4 win over Geneva tonight.  Kayla Gerson (4g, 4a) was the top point-scorer for Eastridge/BK, while Jillian Willis (4g, 1a) and Ada Krupa (4g, 1a) each added 5 point nights.  Krupa and Willis also combined for 11 Draw Controls in the contest.  Meghan Forbes (2g, 2a) was the high scorer for Geneva, and Goalie Maddie Akin made 13 Saves.        [ BOX SCORE

SPENCERPORT-11 at IRONDEQUOIT-10 -  In the closest game of the evening, Spencerport edged out Irondequoit 11-10, earning the right to travel to Canandaigua on Thursday and face the Grey Wolves in the Class B Semi-Final.  Spencerport carried a 6-5 lead into halftime, extended the lead to 2 goals in the third quarter and withstood a strong 4th quarter effort from the Eagles to hang on for the victory.  Molly Guzik (3g, 3a) was the top scorer for Spencerport, also adding 6 Draw Controls, who, Alyssa Nichols (3g) also logged a Hat trick in the winning effort.  For Irondequoit, Ella Brennan (2g, 1a)  and Lucy Whipple (2g,1a) each logged 3 point nights as the Eagles season comes to a close.        [ BOX SCORE

BRIGHTON-19 at SCHROEDER-3 -  Brighton dominated play from wire to wire in this Class B quarterfinal contest, and defeated Webster Schroeder by a score of 19-3 when the final horn sounded.  Brighton will advance to face the #2 seed Victor Blue Devils in Victor on Thursday.  Molly Meyer (1g), Makenna Baier (1g), Brook Guellli (1g, 1a) were the Goal Scorers for Webster-Schroeder, and Goalie, Maura Ugine made 10 Saves between the pipes.  No Book was submitted for Brighton at time of post.        [ BOX SCORE

BROCKPORT-6 at WAYNE-8 -  The Wayne Eagles will head to Waterloo on Thursday to take on the top-seeded Mercy Monarchs in Class C Semifinal action after they came away victorious 8-6, in a hard-fought battle with Brockport.  For Wayne, Julia DiLeo (2g) And Madelyn Hillman (2g) each scored 2 goals, while Samantha Brenner (1g, 1a) also had a 2 point night.  Goalie Mimi Ugalde made 13 big Saves for the Eagles.  No Book was submitted for Brockport at time of post.        [ BOX SCORE

strong>DAY IN REVIEW: THURSDAY - There were six games played on the last day of the regular season. Penn Yan won a close one with Honeoye Falls-Lima. Other winners were Brighton, Canandaigua, Waterloo, Eastridge/BK and Livonia-Avon.

BRIGHTON-17 at MERCY-9 - Brighton Junior goalie Lauren Russell reached her 200th save with her 7 saves. Leading the scoring for Brighton (8-8) were junior midfielder Ireland Mistretta (6g-1a), senior attacker Lucy Lederman (5g), and junior attacker Alexandra Madison (1g-2a).  There was no report from Mercy (7-9) at post-time.       [ BOX SCORE

HONEOYE FALLS-LIMA-8 at PENN YAN-10 - The Mustangs extended their winning streak to five wins (13-3) in this close game at Penn Yan. Junior attacker Corinne Barden (Penn Yan) reached her 100th career goal and Junior midfielder Maihue Miranda-Wiltberger reached her 100th career draw controls. Scoring for Penn Yan (13-3) were Bailey Cooper (5g), Madison Pierce (3a), Corinne Barden (2g), and Ruby Berry (1g). Scoring for Honeoye Falls-Lima (7-9) were Camryn Trybuskiewicz (1g-3a), Shaye Angelo (3g), Rylee Bennett (2g), and Paige Kidd (1g).     [ BOX SCORE

CANANDAIGUA-18 at CHURCHVILLE-CHILI-4 - Eight different players scored goals for Canandaigua in this game including Senior defender Jessica Andrews and Sophomore Morgan Whyte who each scored their first Varsity goal in the game. Others scoring for Canandaigua (14-2) were Samantha Lupton (3g-3a), Hanna Davis (4g-1a), and Aubri Mack-Miller (2g). In the goal for Canandaigua was senior Molly Urlacher with 1s/0ga = 100%. In the goal for Waterloo was freshman Peyton Lyons with 13s/11ga = 54% (48 mins). # 693  Penfield, Hilton, and HFL Win by One Goal
THOMAS-8 at HONEOYE FALLS-LIMA-9 - This was a close game with the Cougars taking the first quarter lead into the 4-2 half. Thomas got one goal closer in the third and the two teams each scored three in the last quarter. Senior goalie Lily Brady (9s/7ga = 56% - 48 mins) reached her 400th career save in the game and was supported in the offense by Shaye Angelo (4g-1a), Paige Kidd (4g), and 8th grade midfielder Harper Jacob (1g-1a). The Cougars (7-8) travel to Penn Yan on Thursday. Leading the scoring for Thomas were Harper Blakley (3a), Hannah Ruller (3g), and Mia Estelle (2g).          [ BOX SCORE

Hilton vs AquinasPENFIELD-8 at IRONDEQUOIT-7 - The Patriots extended their win streak to six win (12-4) and saw Senior attacker Emersyn Mathis (1g-1a) reached her 50th career assist. Also making an impact were Jenna Capozzi (3g), Peyton Rothfuss (2g), and Whitney Reynolds (2g). Leading the scoring for Irondequoit (9-7) were 8th grade offensive player Lucy Whipple (1g-2a), Freshman Ellie Bottiglier (2g), Senior attacker Ella Brennan (2g-2a), and Senior midfielder Madelyn Thore (1g). GANANDA-MARION-6 at MYNDERSE-ROMULUS-17 - The Blue Devils finished their regular season at 9-7 and celebrated Senior midfielder Jackie Sinicropi (3g-4a) who reached her 50th career goal. Junior attacker Chelsea Korzeniewski scored five goals and two assists, and Senior midfielder Jackie Sinicropi added three goals and four assists while Junior offensive player Amelia Reese finished with three goals and two assists.  Gananda-Marion saw goals from Senior midfielder Colleen Ginsberg (4g-1a), and Sophomore midfielder Lexi Gallina (1g-1a).       [ BOX SCORE

Hilton vs AquinasPAL-MAC-21 at LIVONIA-AVON-7 - Pal Mac finished their regular season at 12-4 and with a winning streak of five game. Pal-Mac Sophomore midfielder Teagan Hudak reached her 200th career draw controls and Laker Sophomore attacker Lily Rowe reached her 100th career draw control in the game. Among the leaders in scoring for Pal-Mac were Teagan Hudak (4g-3a), Anna Priebe (5g-1a), and Reagan Diehl (3g-1a). Aquinas saw scoring from  Brynn Henry (4g-3a), Savannah Hinchcliffe (4g), and Marilena Diaz (1g). # 691  Getting down to the End of the Season
strong>DAY IN REVIEW: MONDAY - In the last week of games in the regular season, there were ten games played today. Winners included R-H, Fairport, Pal-Mac, Eastridge-BK, Brockport, Waterloo, Wayne, Livonia-Avon, Pittsford and Irondequoit.

IRONDEQUOIT-12 at THOMAS-7 - Alison Baumgartner led the Eagles with three goals and an assist; she also recorded five draw controls, the first of which was the 100th of her varsity career.  Ninth-grader Ellie Bottiglier added three goals for Irondequoit (9-6), and Emma Francis had 10 saves.  Olivia Bottoni had four goals and Megan Springer made nine saves for Thomas (5-10).  Both teams conclude their regular season Wednesday, Irondequoit with a home match against Penfield, and Thomas with an away game against HF-L.        [ BOX SCORE

GANANDA-MARION-4 at WAYNE-11 - With the win, the Eagles improved their season record to 8-7.  Leading the scoring for Wayne were Isabella Veltre (3g/1a), Madelyn Hillman (3g), and Emma Lockwood (2g).  Mimi Ugalde had six saves to anchor the Eagles’ defense.  There were no statistics reported from Gananda-Marion (3-11) at post time.  Both teams take to the road Wednesday, with the Eagles facing Geneva and the Blue Panthers taking on Mynderse-Romulus.         [ BOX SCORE

GATES CHILI-7 at BROCKPORT-11 - The win by the Blue Devils was their 26th in a row over Gates Chili dating back to 2009.  Audrey Nichols and eighth-grader Molly McJury had three goals apiece for Brockport (5-10), and ninth-grader Jessica Maher and Leah Breuilly combined for 10 saves.  There were no statistics reported from Gates Chili (1-9) at post time.  The Blue Devils visit Eastridge/Bishop Kearney on Wednesday.  The Spartans’ next game is Thursday, also at Eastridge/Bishop Kearney.       [ BOX SCORE

FAIRPORT-19 at ORCHARD PARK-7 -  The Red Raiders broke their four-game losing streak and ended their regular season with a non-league win.  Ella Peers, Katie Mallaber, and Camryn DuBose each had three goals for Fairport (10-6); Peers also secured a game-high 10 draw controls.  Aubrey Caruso, Meghan Arserio, and ninth-grader Brenna Goss scored two goals apiece.        [ BOX SCORE

MERCY-11 at RUSH-HENRIETTA-13 - The Royal Comets erased an 11-10 fourth-quarter deficit with three late goals.  Kate DeWald tallied four goals and collected seven draw controls to lead Rush-Henrietta (12-4) in its regular season finale.  Danielle Garrett added two goals and three assists; her third assist was her 50th as a varsity player.  There were no statistics reported from Mercy (7-8) at post time.  Mercy hosts Brighton on Thursday.          [ BOX SCORE

GENEVA-1 at PAL-MAC-18 - Ten players scored for Pal-Mac (11-4), led by Reagan Diehl (4g/1a) and Jenna Santelli (4g).  Lily Boesel contributed two goals, including the 50th of her varsity career, Jaelyn Drain scored her first varsity goal, and Teagan Hudak broke the single-season record at Pal-Mac for draw controls.  For the Panthers of Geneva (3-11), Isabella Bonventre scored the lone goal and Maddie Askin made eight saves.  The Red Raiders conclude their regular season Wednesday when they travel to Livonia-Avon.  The Panthers also resume play Wednesday when they host Wayne.        [ BOX SCORE

MYNDERSE-ROMULUS-11 at WATERLOO-14 - Waterloo scored two unanswered goals in the fourth quarter to break open a one-game game and secure the win.  Leading the scoring for Waterloo (10-4) were Maci Mueller (6g/4a), Lainie Forde (5g/2a), and Bailey Rossignol (2g/1a).  Chelsea Korzeniewski had five goals and three assists for Mynderse-Romulus (8-6).  The Tigers have a home game against Newark-Midlakes on Wednesday.  The Blue Devils host Churchville-Chili on Tuesday.         [ BOX SCORE

LIVONIA-AVON-17 at NEWARK-MIDLAKES-15 - With the Screaming Eagles down two players in the fourth quarter, the Lakers scored the tie-breaking goal and a late insurance goal to seal the win.  Sidney Clickner (7g/1a) and Lily Rowe (4g/2a) combined for 11 goals and 14 draw controls to lead Livonia-Avon (9-5).  For Newark-Midlakes (4-11), Stella Del Papa had six goals (including the 150th of her varsity career) and two assists to go with 10 draw controls; eighth-grader Zoey Overslaugh had six goals as well.  The Lakers host Pal-Mac Wednesday.  Also on Wednesday, the Screaming Eagles travel to Waterloo for a matchup against the Tigers.         [ BOX SCORE

EASTRIDGE/BK-17 at AQUINAS-11 -  Eastridge/Bishop Kearney (8-5) was led by Ashley Mandeville, whose six goals included the 50th of her varsity career, and Jillian Willis, who tallied five goals.  Kayla Gerson and Ada Krupa each chipped in three goals, and Nina Alderman recorded nine saves.  There were no statistics reported from Aquinas (8-6) at post time.  Both teams are back in action on Wednesday, when Eastridge/Bishop Kearney hosts Brockport and Aquinas plays host to Hilton.       [ BOX SCORE
