2017-04-24 - Paige Knowles scored the game winning goal for Wayne in their 7-6 win over Newark.  Both team led for portions of the game before Knowles scored with 10:10 left in the second half.  

The Reds scored the game opener with Amanda Huttleman assisting Caitlin Chopan.  Wayne came back with two of their own to take their first lead with goals from Casey Hibbard and Kira McBride.  The teams continued to trade goals into the second half.  Wayne took over their final lead with three back to back goals to move from trailing 3-4 to leading 6-4.  

Newark kept up the pressure and scored the next two goals to tie the game at 6-6 with 10:56 remaining in the second half.  Katie Thoms and Chopan scored for the Reds.  Neither team scored in the final ten minutes and the Eagles held on for the win.  

In the cage for Wayne, Morgan Osborne finished with 5 saves.  Senior Bailey Jenkins led in draw controls with 4.  Mary Panepento finished with 4 groundballs and 2 caused turnovers.
