Wayne Scores Nine out Ten Straight
Although the game was close for the first half, Wayne scored nine out of ten straight goals to take the game from down by two (1-3) to leading by six (10-4). The Eagles scored four goals to end the half and two more to start the second before Newark scored their fourth goal. They were held scoreless for nearly 20 minutes of game time.
Wayne junior Hannah Zenelovic led in scoring with 3g-3a. Senior Bailey Pratt added 3g-1a and 3 draw controls for the Eagles. The major factor in possession time was Bailey Jenkins. The junior defenseman had an impressive 10 draw controls for Wayne. Goalie Morgan Osborne recorded three saves.
