Wednesday Night Full of Games

Thomas vs. VictorThere were 12 games played tonight, in one of the biggest night of games so far this season.  The closest match-ups were two overtime games: Webster Thomas over Victor 8-7 and Newark-Midlakes over Wayne 7-6.  Additional games included: Fairport over Gates-Chili 17-0, Penfield over Greece Storm 14-2, Waterloo over Gananda 16-9, Pal-Mac over Geneva 17-5, Canandaigua over Irondequoit 12-6, HFL over Eastridge 14-3, Spencerport over C-C 15-3, Brighton over Brockport 20-3, RH over Hilton 15-9 and Pittsford over Schroeder 15-4.

Newark-Midlakes fought back in the second half to force overtime and the scored their 7th goal in overtime to secure the win over Wayne 7-6.  Five players made the offense scorebook for the Reds with four of them finishing with 2 points: Caitlin Chopan (2g), Lynzee Havert (2g), Alycia Divelbliss (1g-1a), and Grace Gajan (1g-1a).  Additional stats are HERE.

Canandaigua and Irondequoit played close for a half, before the Braves pulled away with five unanswered goals in the second half.  Canandaigua won 12-7 and were led in scoring by LaRen Blakesley with 5g-1a.  Clancy Rheude finished with 6 draw controls.  For Irondequoit, Erika Sherwood led with 1g-2a.  Additional stats are HERE.

Pal-Mac defeated Geneva 17-5 with Andra Savage leading in scoring with 7g-2a.  Emma Arnold added another 6g and 4 caused turnovers.  Jamie Walker led in draw controls with 6.  For Geneva, Lauren DeVaney and Megan Kerr each recorded 2g.  Lily Sellers finished with six draw controls.  Additional stats are HERE.

Pittsford led 8-2 at the half, on their way to a 15-4 win over Webster Schroeder.  The Panthers were led in scoring by Alex Pound (2g-2a) and Ellie Mooney (3g-1a).  For Schroeder, Payton Lill recorded 9 draw controls to lead her team.  Haley Bolton led in scoring with 2a.  Additional stats are HERE.

Waterloo defeated Gananda 16-9.  The Indians had seven players make their scorebook with three players finishing at 5 points: Sam Barnhart (4g-1a), Logan Castiglione (3g-2a) and Amaya Soto (4g-1a).  Barnhart also added 8 draw controls.  For Gananda, Jenna Ginsberg finished with 3g-1a, 4 draw controls, 7 groundballs and 3 caused turnovers.  Additional stats are HERE.

Brighton took a 11-0 halftime score and turned it into a 20-3 final vs. Brockport.  The Blue Devils were led by Leah Daly with 1g-1a, 2 draw controls, 6 groundballs and 4 caused turnovers.  For Brighton, Susan Lafountain led with 5g-1a.  Rene Gangarosa (6) and Piper Davis (4) led in draw controlsfor the Barons.  Additional stats are HERE.

Penfield defeated Greece Storm 14-2.  Eight players made the offensive scorebook for the Patriots.  Leading the charge was Morgan Cox with 2g-4a.  Beth Lawtsch recorded 4 draw controls and Chelsea Akins finished with 3 ground balls and 3 caused turnovers.  For the Storm, Emily Benham and Desirae Ingham scored the two goals.  Alyssa Ballou led with 3 draw controls.  Additional stats are HERE.

Spencerport defeated Churchville-Chili 15-3.  The Rangers led 12-1 at the half and were led in scoring by Erin Coykendall with 5g-4a and 9 draw controls.  Additional stats are HERE.

RH defeated Hilton 15-9.  For the Cadets, Amanda Hilderbrandt led with 1g-4a.  Sydney Carpenter recorded 1g-2a and 6 draw controls.  Additional stats are HERE.

Fairport defeated Gates-Chili 17-0 after leading 14-0 at the half.  Leah DeRoo led in scoring with 4g-1a.  Hannah Shin led in draw controls with 5.  Amanda Reinhardt recorded 3 caused turnovers.  Additional stats are HERE.
