Nine Games on Friday Night

There were nine contests played on Friday. The closest matchups were Gananda over Livonia 8-7 and Marcus Whitman over Newark-Midlakes 8-7.  Additional scores were: Fairport over Irondequoit 14-9, Geneva over Wayne 12-5, Greece Storm over Gates Chili 16-0, Pal-Mac over Mynderse-Romulus 13-1, Spencerport over Hilton 18-8, Penfield over Schroeder 14-9 and Pittsford over CNS 9-3.

Pal-Mac defeated Mynderse-Romulus 13-1.  Pal-Mac was led in scoring by Andra Savage (3g-2a) and Emma Arnold (3g-2a).  Savage also led in draw controls with six.  Charlotte Tidball scored the lone goal for the Blue Devils with Margaux Eller assisting.  Additional stats are HERE.

Penfield scored nine unanswered goals in the first half to take controls of the game on their way to a 14-9 win over Webster Schroeder.  The Warriors fought back in the second half, but never pulled closer than four.  Madison Bell led in scoring with 1g-5a for Schroeder.  Payton Lill recorded 6 draw controls and Muira Fontaine led with 4 caused turnovers.  For Penfield, Morgan Cox finished with 3g-4a and Nina Nesselbush led in draw controls with 9.  Additional stats are HERE.

Gananda scored the final six goals to come back from a 7-2 deficit and defeat Livonia 8-7.  The Blue Panthers were led in the comeback by Sydney Buchko with 5g.  Goalie Julia Hoyser recorded 9 saves in the contest for Gananda.  Kaira Donnan led in draw controls with 4 and Jenna Ginsberg led in caused turnovers with 6.  Additional stats are HERE.

Geneva secured their first win of the season with a 12-5 win over Wayne.  The Panthers were led by Lily Sellers with 5g-3a and 7 draw controls.  Lauren DeVaney added another 5g to the total as well as 4 draw controls.  Additional stats are HERE.

Greece Storm defeated Gates Chili 16-0 after leading 10-0 at the half.  Emily Benham led in scoring with 2g-5a.  Alyssa Ballou (3g-1a) and Alexa Martel (1g-2a) also added to the 11 players that made the offensive scorebook.  Benham also led in draw controls with 2.  Mariah Blodgett recorded 3 groundballs and 2 caused turnovers.  Additional stats are HERE.
