Saturday Night Games

There were seven games played tonight in Section Five.  Five of the seven were against out of town opponets.  The closest matchup was Penn Yan over Aquinas 9-8.  Penfield defeated South Jefferson 10-7 and Waterloo defeated Whitesboro 12-9.  The remaining scores were Pal-Mac over Hamburg 22-8, Newark-Midlakes over Sweet Home 14-4, Marcus Whitman over Owego 7-3 and Schroeder over Greece Storm 15-5.

Penfield went out quickly with a 7-2 first half in their 10-7 win over South Jefferson.  The Patriots were led in scoring by Morgan Cox with 3g-1a.  Lucy Rugaber added 2g-1a to the count.  Leading the ground ball count was Nina Nesselbush with 5.  Chelsea Akins recorded 3 caused turnovers.  Additional stats are HERE.

Schroeder scored 8 goals in the first half and defeated Greece Storm 15-5.  The Warriors had seven players make their offensive scorebook with Annie Mulhall leading the charge with 7g-1a.  Haley Bolton and Mulhall each recorded 7 draw controls.  Goalie Jorden Concordia led in ground balls with five.  She also recorded 10 saves in the net.  Additional stats are HERE.

Waterloo's Riley Corey and Kari Jensen finished with 3g-1a each to lead the Indians to a 12-9 win over Whitesboro.  Grace Sobus recorded 7 saves between the pipes.  Additional stats are HERE.

Newark Midlakes junior Alycia Divelbliss finished with 7 assists on 14 goals for the Reds.  They won the contest 14-4 against Sweet Home.  Grace Gajan finished with 6g and a team leading 4 draw controls.  Additional stats are HERE.

Pal-Mac scored 11 goals in both the first and second half in their 22-8 win over Hamburg.  The Red Raiders were led by Jamie Walker (7g-4a) and Emma Arnold (7g-4a) with 11 points each.  Andra Savage also recorded 9 points (5g-4a).  Additional stats are HERE.
