Wednesday Games

There were eleven games scheduled tonight with the closest contest Penfield defeating Pittsford 7-6.  Remaining scores included Canandaigua over Thomas 8-5, Waterloo over Newark-Midlakes 13-2, Spencerport over Irondequoit 13-3, Mercy over Aquinas 16-6, Brighton over HFL 14-3, Penn Yan over Gananda 17-5, Rush-Henrietta over Fairport 13-4, Eastridge over Brockport 12-3 and Greece Storm over Hilton 13-10.

RH defeated Fairport 13-4.  Morgan Schwab led in scoring for the Red Raiders with 2g.  She also finished with 4 ground balls and 2 draw controls.  Additional stats are HERE.

Spencerport scored the opening goal (Lily DePalma) and held off Irondequoit to defeat the Eagles 13-3.  The Rangers offense was led by Erin Coykendall with 4g-2a.  Paige Pohleven added 2g-3a to the team totals.  Olivia Wall (5) and Coykendall (4) led in draw controls.  Additional stats are HERE.

Eastridge defeated Brockport 12-3 after scoring seven in the first quarter.  Emily Beaumont scored the game opener 2 minutes into the contest off an assist from Nicole Hetzer.  Hetzer finished with 2g-2a and Skye Gaudio recorded 4g.  Additional stats are HERE.

Waterloo scored 6 in the first half and 7 in the second half in their 13-2 win over Newark-Midlakes.  Kari Jensen led with 3g-3a for the Indians.  Marissa Russell led in draw controls with 4.  Additional stats are HERE.

Greece Storm and Hilton played a back and forth game for the first 15 minutes before Greece went on a six goal streak near the end of the first half.  After taking the lead off an unassisted goal by Emma Byrnes, the Storm never trailed again.  Hilton attempted a comeback late in the second, but never tied up the game.  Jazmine Darline (4g) and Mackenzie Gibaud (1g-3a).  Sadie Coachman and Angelina Soeffing each recorded five ground balls to lead the Storm.  Additional stats are HERE.

Penn Yan's Haylet Anderson (3g-2a) and Sydney Hulse (6g) led in scoring for the Mustangs in their 17-5 win over Gananda.  Hayley Andersen led in defensive stats with 9 draw controls, 8 groundballs and 1 caused turnover.  Additional stats are HERE.

Brighton scored 11 goals in the first half in their 14-3 win over HFL.  In the cage for the Barons, Charlotte Sadler recorded 4 saves.  Offensively, Katie Lederman led with 2g-2a.  She also led in draw controls with six.  Susan Lafountain led in ground balls with 2.  Additional stats can be found HERE.

Mercy had seven players make their offensive scorebook in their 16-6 win over Aquinas.  The Monarchs move to 5-1 on the season with their lone loss coming in the first week to Brighton (11-9).  Sami Carey led the offense with 4g-5a.  Caroline Murphy recorded 6 draw controls and 5 groundballs to lead in both categories.  Additional stats are HERE.
