Eleven Games on Monday

Fairport BrightonThere were eleven games played tonight.  There were three one goal games played tonight with Brighton defeating Fairport 14-13, Waterloo defeating Pal-Mac 13-12 and Canandaigua defeating Penfield 7-6.  Additional scores included: Eastridge over Gates-Chili 11-3, Greece Storm over Brockport 11-4, RH over HFL 17-10, Irondequoit over Hilton 14-12, Penn Yan over Newark-Midlakes 15-5, Mynderse-Romulus over Wayne 8-4, Marcus Whitman over Geneva 14-11 and Schroeder over Mercy 17-11.

Schroeder defeated Mercy 17-11 in a game that was closer than the score makes it seem.  The game was tied 8-8 early in the second half before the Warriors scored five unanswered goals to pull ahead.  A large amount of scoring in the game came from Freshman.  Mercy freshman Sami Carey finished with 6g-3a and Schroeder freshman Annie Mulhall finished with 4g and 6 draw controls.  Sophomore Jorden Concordia finished with 7 saves and recorded 3 caused turnovers late in the game that kept Mercy from responding.  Additional information is HERE.

Canandaigua and Penfield played a back and forth game that was only more than one goal apart at 2-0.  the game was tied at 2-2, 3-3, 4-4, 5-5 and 6-6 before Canandaigua's Kenzie Lupton scored the game winning goal with 0:07 remaining on the clock.  The Patriots were led in scoring by Madigan Lublin (4g) and Lucy Rugaber (1g-3a).  For the Braves, Megan Hoffman recorded 1g-3a.  Additional stats are HERE.

Marcus Whitman defeated Geneva 14-11.  Leading in scoring for Geneva was Lily Sellers with 5g-2a and 3 draw controls.  Madison Kaenzig de Denus recorded 1 draw controls and 5 groundballs.  Additional stats are HERE.

Mynderse-Romulus defeated Wayne 8-4.  Leading in scoring was Sadie Bonetti with 3g-3a.  Margaux Eller finished with 2 draw controls and 4 ground balls for the Blue Devils.  Additional stats are HERE.

Penn Yan led 8-3 at the half on their way to a 15-5 win over Newark-Midlakes.  The Reds were led by Claire DeBoover with 3g-1a.  Grace Gajan finished with 5 draw controls.  Additional stats are HERE.

Waterloo came back from a 6-10 halftime deficit to defeat Pal-Mac 13-12.  The Indians outscored the Red Raiders 7-2 in the second half.  Leading in scoring for the Indians was Logan Castiglione with 3g-6a.  Aubrey O`Brien recorded 11 draw controls.  For the Red Raiders, Andra Savage had 4g-2a and 5 draw controls.  Additional stats are HERE.

Irondequoit held off a late advance by Hilton to defeat the Cadets 14-12.  Hilton won the second half 8-6, but it was not enough.  Hilton was led in scoring by Fiona French with 3g-1a.  Sydney Carpenter recorded 7 draw controls and 2 caused turnovers.  Additional stats are HERE.

RH scored seven of the first eight goals on their way to a 17-10 win over HFL.  The Cougars scored the opening goal before the Royal Comets went on a seven goals run.  Leading in scoring for RH was Gabby Garrett with 4g-2a.  Three of her four goals were off the 8m line.  Kate Mashewske led her team in draw controls with 7.  Additional stats are HERE.

Greece Storm scored the first goal of the game and never trailed in their 11-4 win over Brockport.  Emily Benham led in scoring with 2g-2a for the Storm.  Leah Daly and Tori Lammes finished with two points each.  Daly also had 5 draw controls, 8 groundballs and 4 caused turnovers.  Additional stats are HERE.
