Ten Games for the Midweek

Storm vs. RRThere were 10 games played tonight with the closest match-up coming from Brighton over Canandaigua 9-7.  Additional scores included: Fairport over Greece Storm 14-8, Aquinas over Livonia 16-5, Hilton over Gates Chili 15-2, RH over Penfield 14-7, HFL over Brockport 14-3, Irondequoit over Eastridge 14-1, Pittsford over Thomas 15-4 and Spencerport over Schroeder 12-8.  The score for CC vs. Victor is still pending.

Draw controls were the name of the game in Spencerport over Schroeder 12-8.  The Rangers won 17/22 with Erin Coykendall leading at 11.  In the first half, the game was tied at each step of the way through 5-5 before Spencerport pulled away with the first three goals of the second half.  The Warriors could not keep the pace and the Rangers slowly pulled ahead.  Late in the game, Spencerport goalie Julia Britton made a number of key saves to keep the Rangers ahead.  She finished with 5 recorded saves.  For Schroeder, Jorden Concordia recorded 7 saves and 1 caused turnover.  Offensively, Coykendall led in scoring with 3g-5a for the Rangers.  Madison Bell (2g-1a) and Payton Lill (3g) led for the Warriors.  Additional stats are HERE.

Fairport scored ten goals in the first half of their 14-8 win over Greece Storm.  The Red Raiders were led in scoring by Morgan Schwab with 1g-7a.  Cameryn Dera scored 6g, including the first four for Fairport.  Hannah Shin led in draw controls with 5.  For Greece, Emily Benham (2g-2a) led the offense.  Alyssa Ballou recorded 3 draw controls and Alexa Martel recorded 3 ground balls and 6 saves for the Storm.  Additional stats are HERE.

Brighton each half by a single goal (5-4 in the first and 4-3 in the second) to defeat Canandaigua 9-7.  Rene Gangarosa (2g-2a) and Katie Lederman (3g-1a) led in scoring for the Barons.  Additional stats are HERE.

Aquinas defeated Livonia 16-5 after leading 10-4 at the half.  Brigid Flaherty led in scoring with 5g-4a for the Little Irish.  She also led in draw controls with seven.  Sienna Hinchcliffe (2g-4a) and Alana Piano (5g-2a) also added to the goal count.  Additional stats are HERE.

Hilton defeated Gates Chili 15-2 after leading 12-1 at halftime.  The Cadets had 13 players make their offensive scorebook with Amanda Hilderbrandt (2g-2a) and Sydney Carpenter (2g-2a) leading the team.  Haley Mojsej led in draw controls with six.  Additional stats are HERE.

RH scored the first five goals of the game in their 14-7 win over Penfield.  Gabby Garrett led in scoring with 4g-2a.  Rayea Davis added another 3g-2a.  Rachel Crane led in draw controls with six.  Additional stats are HERE.

HFL defeated Brockport 14-3.  Brockport's three goals were scored by Leah Daly (2) and Ella Fadele (1).  Daly also led in draw controls with 5 and Fadele led in ground balls with 5.  Additional stats are HERE.

Irondequoit defeated Eastridge 14-1 after leading 7-0 at halftime.  Marina Butler led in scoring with 2g-3a for the Eagles.  Bridget Inclema added another 2g-2a.  Ericka Sherwood led in draw controls with 3 and Maira Brennan led in caused turnovers with 3.  Additional stats are HERE.
