Three Games Played as Weather Warms Up
After two days of all games being cancelled, three games were finally played in Section Five. Although five others were cancelled, Canandaigua defeated Waterloo (12-3), Fairport defeated Aquinas (16-6) and Penfield defeated Irondequoit (9-8).
Fairport had 10 different players make their offensive scorebook with Maddie Howe (5g) and Brittney Pollack (4g-2a) leading the team. Isabel Hofford (8 saves) and Diksha Thakkar (4 saves) both finished at 67% between the pipes. For additional details click here.
Canandaigua scored six goals in the second half to extend their lead to 12-3. The Braves were led in scoring by Natalie Gwynn (5g). Three different players scored for the Indians with Sam Barnhart, Alberta Eshenour and Kiera O`Connor each scoring one goal. For additional details click here.
In the closest game of the night, Penfield defeated Irondequoit 9-8. The Eagles led at the half 5-4 before the Patriots outscored them 5-3 in the second half to secure the win. Alanna Fallone (3g) and Megan Motkowski (3g-1a) led in scoring. For additional details click here,
