Howe Scores Six Goals to Lift Red Raiders

Maddie Howe finished the game with 6g-1a to help lift Fairport over Rush-Henrietta 13-11.  The Royal Comets were leading early in the second half before Fairport scored five out of the last six goals to take the lead back and secure the victory.

The Red Raiders started off strong scoring the first two and four of the first five.  Howe scored three of those goals for Fairport.  Rachel Crane scored the opening goal for R-H.  The Red Raiders led 4-1 only 3:32 into the contest.  RH fought back hard over the next 21 minutes, scoring eight and holding Fairport to only three.  Crane added her second and Gabby Garrettt added four more goals to bring her game total to 4g-1a.

After scoring the first goal of the second half, R-H led by two (9-7).  Each team added one more goal before Fairport went on their scoring run.  Howe added her fifth and Destinee Johnson scored for the Royal Comets.  In Fairport's five goal run, all five were scored by different girls: Howe, Brittney Pollack, Cameryn Dera, Sophia LaMendola and Hannah Marafioti.  Fairport's scoring run ended at 12:49, however the Red Raiders were able to stall out the clock and R-H only added one more goal (Crane - unassisted) before time expired.

Fairport has won their last four games and are currently 6-1 with their only loss to Victor (4-4).  R-H fell to 3-3 with their next game against Irondequoit on 4/26.
