DAY IN REVIEW: THURSDAY - Today's Section V quarterfinals produced two home wins, as Marcus Whitman's freshman-powered offense got three goals from Kaylee Hey and two goals and two assists from Aubriella Bowman in an 11-6 win over Gananda-Marion in Class D, while Canandaigua's Maci Mueller and freshman Keira Gioseffi each scored four goals in a 13-8 defeat of Mercy in Class B. Marcus Whitman will face Penn Yan in the semifinals, and Canandaigua advances as well and will play the winner of Pittsford vs Hilton.
