No. 1 Penn Yan overwhelmed fourth-seeded Marcus Whitman in a class D semifinal on Wednesday, winning 19-1. Bailey Cooper led Penn Yan with four goals and four assists. Gianna Voigt added one goal and five assists. Maihue Miranda-Wiltberger recorded three goals and 13 draw controls. Other key contributors included Addison Gillette (2g/1a), Makenna Mullins (2g), Lila Hansen (2g), and Mary D’Abbracci (1g/2a). Two Mustangs reached career milestones during the game--Gianna Voigt with her 50th assist, and Maihue Miranda-Wiltberger with her 200th draw control. Marcus Whitman did not submit a statistical report.
