Waterloo Prevails Over Mynderse-Romulus

No. 2 Waterloo earned a 13-7 victory over No.3 Mynderse-Romulus in a class D semifinal matchup on Wednesday. With the game tied at five at halftime, Waterloo gradually pulled away in the second half to secure the win.

Maci Mueller led Waterloo with four goals and one assist; she also won 10 draw controls. MacKenzie Tam (3g/1a), Bailey Rossignol (2g/2a), and Ava Bailey (2g/2a) each scored multiple goals. Aubrey Westerberg recorded her first varsity goal in the game. Peyton Lyons recorded six saves.

For Mynderse-Romulus, Myah Herron finished with three goals and Chelsea Korzeniewski added two goals and an assist. The Blue Devils conclude the season with a record of 5-12.

The Tigers now move on to the final round, where they will meet Penn Yan, the number one seed, next Tuesday.    [ Story and BOX SCORE
