Four Overtime Games on Wednesday

Bri vs. RHOn the second to last day of the regular season, four of the eight games played went into overtime.  R-H defeated Brighton 9-8 off a goal from Rayea Davis, Fairport defeated Canandaigua 10-9 off a goal from Morgan Schwab, Penfield over HFL 7-6 and Geneva over C-C 13-12.  Additional scores were Spencerport over Pal-Mac 18-5, Waterloo over Aquinas 14-12, Mynderse-Romulus over Gananda 11-6 and Irondequoit over Greece Storm 9-2.

RH scored the final two goals of regulation as well as the overtime game winner to defeat Brighton 9-8.  Rayea Davis scored the game winning goal for the Royal Comets unassisted.  Brighton led 8-6 off a goal from Katie Lederman with 8:11 remaining on the clock.  Goals for Maddy George and Gabby Garrett forced overtime for RH.  Davis (3g) and George (3g) led in scoring for the Royal Comets.  Additional stats are HERE.

Fairport`s Morgan Schwab scored the game winning goal in overtime to give the Red Raiders the 10-9 win over Canandaigua.  The Red Raiders scored the opening two goals with Hannah Shin and Cameryn Dera scoring in the first 10 minutes.  Canandaigua responded with a pair of goals from Megan Hoffman and LaRen Blakesley.  After that, the game was never more than a single goal apart.  Canandaigua had four players finish with 3 points: Blakesley (3g), Hoffman (2g-1a), Lindsay Reho (3a) and Clancy Rheude (3g).  Rheude also led in draw controls with 7.  Additional stats are HERE.

Irondequoit led 6-2 at the half on their way to a 9-2 win over Greece Storm.  The Eagles were led in scoring by Erika Sherwood with 1g-4a.  Leah O`Sullivan led in goals with 4g. Maira Brennan led in draw controls with 3 and Marina Butler and Rebeca McGwin each recorded 3 caused turnovers.  Additional stats are HERE.

Mynderse-Romulus defeated Gananda 11-6 after a 3-3 halftime score.  The Blue Panthers were led in scoring by Jenna Ginsberg with 4g.  Sydney Buchko (6) and Ginsberg (4) led in draw controls for Gananda.  For the Blue Devils, Sadie Bonetti led with 2g-3a.  Margaux Eller led in draw controls with 5.  Additional stats are HERE.

Spencerport defeated Pal-Mac 18-5.  Leading for the Red Raiders was Emma Arnold with 2g-1a.  She also finished with 4 draw controls, 3 groundballs and 2 caused turnovers.  For Spencerport, Erin Coykendall recorded 4g-3a.  Natalie Choate (3g-3a) and Camryn Sack (2g-3a) also added to the totals.  Olivia Wall led in draw controls with 8 and caused turnovers with 2.  Additional stats are HERE.

Waterloo defeated Aquinas 14-12 after a 6-6 halftime score.  Leading for the Indians was Logan Castiglione with 5g-1a.  Madison DeFrancesco added 2g-2a.  Additional stats are HERE.
