Wednesday: Pal-Mac and CA Win

DAY IN REVIEW: WEDNESDAY - In a battle of undefeated, Pal-Mac remained so, handing Aquinas their first loss in a low-scoring affair, atypical for these two squads. For the second night in a row, Canandaigua won in a low-scoring squeaker, this time on the road at HFL.

Gates Chili at GreeceFAIRPORT-7 at RUSH-HENRIETTA-12 - The Royal Comets remained unbeaten, defeating the previously unbeaten Red Raiders from Fairport.  Ashlyn Roberts and Danielle Garrett scored three goals apiece for Rush-Henrietta (5-0).  For Fairport (7-1), Katie Mallaber and Ella Peers each had two goals.  The Royal Comets put their undefeated record on the line Friday when they visit Irondequoit.  The Red Raiders have a brief break in their schedule before hosting Victor next Wednesday.     [ BOX SCORE

VICTOR-15 at BRIGHTON-4 - In what was expected to be a tough class B match-up between two 0.500 teams coming into the game, Victor bounced back from their overtime loss to Pittsford to pummel the Bruins 15-4.  After opening up a 7-3 lead at half, Victor dominated the second half to blow the game open.  No book was submitted for either team at time of post.  Brighton will travel to Canandaigua on Friday and Victor will host South Jefferson on Saturday.    [ BOX SCORE

Gates Chili at GreeceCHURCHVILLE-CHILI-3 at SPENCERPORT-17 - Spencerport was a 17-3 winner at Churchville-Chili i17-3.  Molly Guzik (5g-1a) and Alyssa Nichols (4g-1a) paced Spencerport in the runaway victory, while Isabella Buono (3g) also recorded a Hat Trick.    [ BOX SCORE

PENFIELD-9 at SCHROEDER-7 - Penfield (4-4) concluded the first half of its season with a narrow victory over the Warriors.  There were no statistics reported from either team at post time.  The Patriots travel to Brighton next Monday to take on the Bruins.  Schroeder will seek its first win of the season Friday against Eastridge.    [ BOX SCORE

AQUINAS-4 at PAL-MAC-6 -  In a battle of undefeated, Pal-Mac remained so, handing Aquinas their first loss in a low-scoring affair, atypical for these two squads.  Both Goaltenders were strong as Pal-Mac’s Faith Beals posted a 56% Save Percentage to Aquinas’ Catriona Hoelperl also impressive 50%.  Offensively, Reagan Diehl (3g) was Pal-Mac’s only multi-point scorer, while Sienna Hinchcliffe (2g-1a) tried to keep Aquinas in the game, also accounting for 3 points.  Molly Seither shined on the defensive end for Pal-Mac Causing 4 Turnovers and picking up 2 Ground Balls.    [ BOX SCORE

GANANDA-MARION-2 at NEWARK-MIDLAKES-14 -  For the Reds, it was their third victory against two losses. Gananda-Marion fell to 1-4.  There were no statistics reported from either team at post time.  The Reds host Greece Storm on Friday.  The Blue Panthers resume play on Monday when they travel to Wayne.    [ BOX SCORE

Gates Chili at GreeceWATERLOO-MARCUS WHITMAN-13 at WAYNE-1 -  Waterloo-Marcus Whitman (2-2) built a 7-1 halftime lead and coasted to a road victory over the Eagles.  Maci Mueller (3g/1a), Natalie Disanto (4g/2a), and Marissa Russell (3g) led the scoring for the Tigers.  Mimi Ugalde had nine saves for Wayne (1-4).  The Tigers take on the undefeated Red Raiders from Pal-Mac on Friday.  The Eagles will be at home on Friday to face Gananda-Marion.     [ BOX SCORE

CANANDAIGUA-7 at HONEOYE FALLS-LIMA-5 - For the second night in a row, Canandaigua won in a low-scoring squeaker, this time on the road at HFL.  The Braves were carried offensively by a five point performance from Hanna Davis (3g-2a), and a Hat trick by Koehler Nieman (3g).  Freshman, Shane Angelo scored 2 goals for HFL. With her assists today, Hanna reached 100 career assists.   [ BOX SCORE

GATES CHILI-2 at GREECE STORM-16 - Greece Storm rolled Gates Chili with a 16-2 win tonight at Olympia.  For Greece, Mara Misiurewicz exploded for 8 goals, while Alison Dioguardi (2g-4a) also ripped a six point night.  Defensively, Senior Braelyn Evans caused 4 Turnovers and scooped 4 GB’s.    [ BOX SCORE

Gates Chili at GreeceHILTON-2 at PITTSFORD-16 -  Pittsford worked Hilton over by a score of 16-2 tonight.  No book was submitted for either team at time of post.  Pittsford travels to Thomas on Friday and Hilton to Spencerport on Saturday.    [ BOX SCORE

BISHOP KEARNEY-5 at LIVONIA-AVON-12 -  Livonia-Avon improved to 2-2 this evening, defeating Bishop Kearney 12-5.  Playing at home, Livonia-Avon rode 14 saves from Goalie Mia Martucio to complement 4 points a piece from Mary Gammon (3g-1a) and Lily Rowe (1g-3a).  No book was submitted for Bishop Kearney at time  of post.    [ BOX SCORE
