Friday: Pal-Mac and R-H win by Three

DAY IN REVIEW: FRIDAY - Penn Yan won their seventh game to remain undefeated (7-0). Rush-Henrietta kept their perfect season alive (6-0) with their win today. Pal-Mac also held on to their perfect season (5-) with their win against Waterloo-Marcus Whitman. Schroeder won their first game of the season.

Penn Yan vs MyndersePENN YAN-15 at MYNDERSE-ROMULUS-5 -  The Mustangs ran their unbeaten streak to seven, behind a balanced attack featuring Taylor Mullins (5g/1a), Maihue Miranda-Wiltberger (3g/1a), Bailey Cooper (3g/1a), and Gianna Voigt (3g).  Haley Mosch had two goals for Mynderse-Romulus (4-2).  The Mustangs host Gananda-Marion on Wednesday.  Next on tap for the Blue Devils is an away match Monday against Geneva.    [ BOX SCORE]   - - More images in the photo gallery.

Penn Yan vs MynderseSCHROEDER-15 at EASTRIDGE-7 -  It was the first win of the season for Schroeder.  Anna Rogers paced the attack for the Warriors with five goals and an assist, while Ava Dossier had five draw controls in addition to three goals and an assist,  For Eastridge, Bella Denaro (4g) and Ada Krupa (3g) provided all the scoring.  The Lancers also received a strong effort from goaltender Melody Gaudio, who turned away 13 shots.  Schroeder will try to make it two in a row Monday against Waterloo-Marcus Whitman.  The Lancers visit Gates Chili Tuesday for a contest against the Spartans.     [ BOX SCORE

RUSH-HENRIETTA-9 at IRONDEQUOIT-6 -  Rush-Henrietta traveled to Irondequoit tonight and took down the Eagles 9-6.  R-H built a 5-3 lead at the half, and carried that momentum home.  Catrina Rowe (5g) carried R-H offensively, scoring 5 of the 9 Royal Comet goals, while the Roberts sisters each contributed 3 points (Avery 1g-2a, and Ashlyn 2g-1a).  No book was submitted for Irondequoit at time of post.     [ BOX SCORE

Penn Yan vs MynderseGREECE STORM-17 at NEWARK-MIDLAKES-5 -  Greece improved its record to 3-1, led by Alison Dioguardi (4g/4a), Emma Dioguardi (3g), Mara Misiurewicz (5g/3a), and Erica Savage (3g/4a).  Erica Savage also recorded seven draw controls.  There were no statistics reported from Newark-Midlakes (3-3) at post time.  Greece will look to stretch its winning streak to four on Monday against Brockport.  The Reds hope to bounce back Monday when they host Livonia-Avon.     [ BOX SCORE

PAL-MAC-10 at WATERLOO-MARCUS WHITMAN-7 -  After playing to a 5-5 tie at the half, Pal-Mac used a strong second half to hold off Pal-Mac vs WaterlooWaterloo-MW and remain undefeated.  For Waterloo, Maci Muller (3g-1a) and Natalie DiSanto (2g-1a) led the charge in a losing effort.  Pal-Mac had an extremely balanced offensive attack with 8 different players scoring points, and Reagan Diehl (2g-1a) as the only 3-point scorer.  Goalie Faith Beals came up huge for Pal-Mac with 11 saves as Pal-Mac’s defensive effort in the second half stood out as the difference in the game.   [ BOX SCORE]   - - More images in the photo gallery.

Pal-Mac vs WaterlooMERCY-20 at GENEVA-6 -  The Monarchs picked up their third straight victory.  For Geneva (1-4), Allie Good scored four goals and Maddie Askin had nine saves.  Mikayla Myer had a strong all-around game, recording two assists, four draw controls, five ground balls, and five caused turnovers.  There were no statistics reported from Mercy (4-2) at post time.  Mercy has a quick turnaround, returning to the field Saturday morning for a non-league matchup against Lancaster (VI).  The Panthers resume play Monday when they host Mynderse-Romulus.     [ BOX SCORE

BRIGHTON-1 at CANANDAIGUA-13 - In a game which ended 6 minutes early due to lightning, Canandaigua rode 5 goal performances by Hanna Davis (5g-4a) and Liv Schorr (5g) to a 13-1 victory.  Senior Goalie, Maggie Cross kept the Bruins at bay, saving 5 shots, while allowing only 1 goal, and Freshman Leah Sheridan (1g-2a) and Lola Schorr (1g-1a) also posted multi-point games.  Elise Murphy scored Brighton’s lone goal. The win was Pal-Mac vs WaterlooCanandaigua’s 4th straight and 4th this week.  Both teams will be back in action Monday, as Canandaigua travels to Pittsford for a marquee match-up, while Brighton will look to snap their 4-game losing streak against Penfield.    [ BOX SCORE

PITTSFORD-11 at THOMAS-4 - Webster-Thomas hosted Pittsford tonight, and lost their fourth straight, falling to a red-hot Pittsford team 11-4.  After losing their first two games of the season, Pittsford has run off six straight victories and rides that momentum into their game with Canandaigua on Monday. With the loss, Thomas’ record falls to 2-5. Scoring for Thomas (2-5) were Addison Schaeffer (1g-1a) who scored her 100th career goal in the game, and Mya Zeller (3g-0a).
