Saturday: Mercy Wins Fourth in a Row

DAY IN REVIEW: SATURDAY - In a close one, Mercy defeated Lancaster 15-12. Victor was the winner in their game with South Jefferson (Section III), and Aquinas won their game with Frontier.

HILTON-4 at SPENCERPORT-17 -  Spencerport gained its fourth victory of the season against one defeat.  Molly Guzik had a strong game for the Rangers, with three goals and two assists while also collecting 11 draw controls.  Ninth-grader Brooke Endres had four goals and recorded four draw controls.  Alyssa Nichols contributed two goals and three assists.  There were no statistics reported from Hilton, which fell to 1-5.  The Rangers seek to extend their three-game winning streak when they travel to Canandaigua on Tuesday to face the Braves.  The Cadets visit HF-L on Monday.     [ BOX SCORE

SOUTH JEFFERSON-10 at VICTOR-14 -  Also in non-league play, Victor (5-3) built a 9-4 halftime lead and coasted to victory.   There were no statistics reported from Victor at post time.  The Blue Devils travel to Fairport on Wednesday to face the Red Raiders.     [ BOX SCORE

LANCASTER-12 at MERCY-15 - Mercy (5-2) won its fourth straight game, led by Maddie Fitzgerald's five goals and six draw controls.  Ava LaRocca chipped in with four assists.  Mia Lusardi had a big day, scoring one goal to go along with three assists and six draw controls.  Ninth-grader Mia Quagrello ended the day with three goals.  The Monarchs resume section V play on Thursday when they host HF-L.     [ BOX SCORE

BROCKPORT-5 at LIVONIA-AVON-10 -  Livonia-Avon (3-2) won its third straight.  Megan Carr, Sidney Clickner, Lila Meyers, and Lily Rowe each had two goals for the Bulldogs, Maddie Whitford had seven draw controls, and Mia Martucio recorded nine saves.   There were no statistics reported from Brockport (3-2) at post time.  On Monday, the Bulldogs take on Newark-Midlakes and the Blue Devils square off against Thomas.    [ BOX SCORE

AQUINAS-11 at FRONTIER-6 - Aquinas (4-2) broke open this tight non-league matchup in the second half.  Leading the scoring for the Little Irish was Sienna Hinchcliffe (8g/1a).  Catriona Hoelperl had seven saves.  Aquinas continues the non-league portion of its schedule on Monday with its second game of the season against Nardin Academy (VI).    [ BOX SCORE]
