Wednesday: Fairport over Victor and Pittsford over Brighton

DAY IN REVIEW: WEDNESDAY - Fairport had a close win against Victor and Pittsford has a close win against Brighton. Other games were not so close. Winning were Waterloo-Marcus Whitman, HF-L, Pal-Mac, Penn Yan, R-H, Schroeder, and Mynderse-Romulus.

VICTOR-4 at FAIRPORT-5 -  Ellie Miller scored off a feed from Ella Peers with 15 seconds left in the second half to give Fairport (8-1) its only lead of the game.  Jaelyne Twomey had five saves for the Red Raiders.  There were no statistics reported from Victor (5-4) at post time.  The Red Raiders host Canandaigua on Monday.  The Blue Devils are home to class B rival Irondequoit on Friday.     [ BOX SCORE

Gananda vs Penn YanMYNDERSE-ROMULUS-13 at WAYNE-4 -  The victorious Blue Devils were led by Kelly Kohberger (5g/1a) and Haley Mosch (3g/2a).  Maria Del Carmen recorded nine saves for Mynderse-Romulus; her counterpart from Wayne, Mimi Ugalde, stopped eight shots.  Mynderse-Romulus (5-3) will take on Bishop Kearney on Tuesday.  The Eagles, who drop to 2-5 on the season, play host to Brockport on Friday.     [ BOX SCORE

SCHROEDER-17 at HILTON-8 - Webster Schroeder beat Hilton 17-8 in Hilton tonight.  For Hilton Charley Barlette (3g-1a) and Lilly Mattucci (1g-3a) had reciprocal 4 point evenings.  Lily Mattucci was also a force in open field collecting 9 DC’s, stopping 6 GB’s and Causing 2 turnovers.  No Book was submitted for Schroeder at time of post.      [ BOX SCORE

RUSH-HENRIETTA-10 at PENFIELD-5 - Rush-Henrietta remains unbeaten, improving to 8-0.  Leading the scoring for the Royal Comets was Kate DeWald, with three goals and three assists.  Ashlyn Roberts, Danielle Garrett, and Lena Cox had two goals apiece.  For the Patriots, eighth-grader Karis Hand had another strong game, recording seven saves.  Rush-Henrietta is home to Thomas on Saturday.  The Patriots look to bounce back Friday when they face Spencerport.     [ BOX SCORE

PITTSFORD-6 at BRIGHTON-4 -  In a defensive battle, Pittsford held off Brighton 6-4 in Brighton to improve the Panthers record to 7-3, while dropping Brighton to 3-5.  Pittsford led 3-1 at the half and held serve in the second to maintain their 2 goal lead at the final buzzer.  No Book was submitted for either team at time of post. Brighton will travel to Syracuse to face CNS on Saturday.  Pittsford is off until next week when they will host Schroeder on 5/3.     [ BOX SCORE

Gananda vs Penn YanGANANDA-MARION-1 at PENN YAN-18 - Gananda-Marion took it on the chin from Penn Yan (8-0), who had scoring from 12 players, including Bailey Cooper (3g/3a) and Gianna Voigt (3g).   There were no statistics reported from Gananda-Marion at post time.  The Mustangs meet Pal-Mac Friday in a showdown between unbeatens. The Blue Panthers return to the field Thursday when they host Eastridge.     [ BOX SCORE

GENEVA-5 at PAL-MAC-15 - Pal-Mac cruised to yet another convincing win tonight by a score of 15-5 as they hosted the Geneva Panthers.  The victory keeps Pal-Mac undefeated at 7-0 and drops the Panthers to 2-5.  Pal-Mac’s Reagan Diehl  and Jena Santelli each scored 4 goals, while Lily Boesel (3g-1a) also scored 4 points.  Senior, Molly Seither (1g-2a, 4 DC, 6 GB, 3CT) had a very well-rounded game, contributing in all aspects of the field.  No book was submitted for Geneva at time of post.  Pal-mac will host Penn Yan on Friday as both teams will put their undefeated on the line.  By Saturday, only one will remain unbeaten.     [ BOX SCORE

Gananda vs Penn YanHONEOYE FALLS-LIMA-14 at BROCKPORT-2 - HF-L handled Brockport tonight to improve to 5-3 on the season. The score was 14-2, with 9 scorers. The draw circle performance was dominant by the Cougars, with Marlee Green snagging 9 draw controls. The Cougars take on the Mercy Monarchs this Friday at 4:45.     [ BOX SCORE

BISHOP KEARNEY-5 at WATERLOO-MARCUS WHITMAN-17 -  The Tigers opened a 12-2 lead at halftime and coasted to the win.  Maci Mueller led the scoring barrage with six goals.  Natalie Disanto chipped in three goals and two assists, and Lainie Forde contributed three goals and one assist.  There were no statistics reported from Bishop Kearney at post time.  The Tigers travel to Greece to play the Storm on Friday.  Bishop Kearney resumes play Monday against Geneva.      [ BOX SCORE
