DAY IN REVIEW: THURSDAY - Three games were reported today and all three were against out on section teams. Penn Yan and Spencerport won and Rush-Henrietta lost a close one with West Genesee.

PENN YAN-15 at RIVER BLUFF HIGH YOUTH SPORTS-3 - Bailey Cooper (4g/3a) paced the Mustangs, who secured their fourth victory of the season against no defeats.  Taylor Mullins chipped in three goals, including the 50th of her career.  The Mustangs look to continue their winning ways when they face Topsail (NC) on Friday.     [ BOX SCORE] 

SPENCERPORT-12 at RIVERSIDE HS-7 - Spencerport concluded its southern trip with a convincing victory over its Virginia opponent.  Molly Guzik scored six goals, assisted on three others, and registered 12 draw controls.  Alyssa Nichols contributed three goals and an assist. Spencerport, which has won its first four contests of the season, hosts Schroeder next Wednesday.    [ BOX SCORE] 

RUSH-HENRIETTA-9 at WEST GENESEE-11 - In a hard-fought contest, the Wildcats from West Genesee (III) were able to hold off the Royal Comets from Rush-Henrietta.  It was the eighth time overall the teams have met and the fifth time West Genesee has come away with the win.  Emma DeWald, Kate DeWald, Danielle Garrett, and Catrina Rowe each had two goals for Rush-Henrietta; Kate DeWald also secured a team-high seven draw controls.  The Royal Comets travel to Fairport next Wednesday to take on the Red Raiders.     [ BOX SCORE] 

PENFIELD-7 at COLD SPRING HARBOR-11 - The Patriots built a 6-4 halftime lead but were unable to withstand a second-half surge from Cold Spring Harbor (VIII).   Peyton Rothfuss and Whitney Reynolds scored two goals apiece for Penfield.  Rothfuss also collected six draw controls, as did ninth-grader Avery Fordham.  The Patriots conclude their Long Island trip when they face Northport (XI) on Friday.     [ BOX SCORE]
