Geneva Takes Control in FL Matchup
The Panthers maintained their undefeated record with a 16-7 victory on their home field over Mynderse-Romulus. After Mynderse-Romulus opened an early 2-0 lead, Geneva scored the next 10 goals to take a 10-2 halftime advantage. Leading the Panthers was Makenna Harris with five goals and seven draw controls. Geneva also received significant contributions from Allison Marquart (2g/5a), Meghan Forbes (4g/1a), and Velia DeMaria (2g/3a).
Mynderse-Romulus received strong performances from Chelsea Korzeniewski (3g/1a) and Myah Herron (2g/1a). Bridget Lunduski and Joey Mclean combined for seven saves.
This game marked Geneva’s third straight win this season and their sixth victory in the series history against Mynderse-Romulus since 2018. Mynderse-Romulus will look for redemption Wednesday against Pal-Mac, while Geneva heads to Marcus Whitman on Monday.
