Sixth-seeded Brighton fought off a late rally to secure a hard-fought 12-10 victory over No. 3 Mercy in the class B quarterfinals on Tuesday. With the win, the Bruins became the only visiting team of the day to advance to the semifinals.

Ireland Mistretta led Brighton with five goals and an assist, along with 11 draw control wins. Ella Brunette (3g), Tatum Cook (2g), Alexandra Madison (1g/1a), and Eva Holbrough (1g) each provided significant offensive support. Lauren Russell recorded five saves in the contest. Mercy did not submit a statistical report.
