A Night of Lacrosse Showdowns

DAY IN REVIEW: THURSDAY - The class B and class C semifinal games were played on Thursday. In the closest match of the night, No. 2 Pittsford earned its spot in the class B finals, holding off a fierce fourth-quarter comeback attempt by No. 6 Brighton and WG at Penn Yanedging the Bruins by a score of 12-10. No. 1 Victor defeated No. 4 Irondequoit 14-6, setting up a Wednesday clash between the Blue Devils and the Panthers for the class B championship. In class C, No. 1 Pal-Mac and No. 3 Honeoye Falls-Lima both cruised to victory, and will face each other in the finals on Tuesday. 

IRONDEQUOIT-6 at VICTOR-14 -  Camryn Adrid (4g), Julia Bruno (3g/1a), Allie Pisano (2g/2a),and Maia Pronti (2g/2a) led the scoring for No. 1 Victor. The Blue Devils will take on No. 2 Pittsford in the class B finals on Wednesday. Shannon Seymour had three goals for No. 4 Irondequoit. AQUINAS-WOIS-10 at PAL-MAC-22 - Teagan Hudak and Brinn Castrechini each scored seven goals to lead No. 1 Pal-Mac. It was the Red Raiders' twelfth win in a row.PM vs AQ Brynn Henry had five goals and an assist for No. 4 Aquinas-WOIS, which finishes its season at 8-10. Pal-Mac moves on to play No. 3 Honeoye Falls-Lima in the class C final game on Tuesday.    [ Story and BOX SCORE

BRIGHTON-10 at PITTSFORD-12 -  No. 2 Pittsford built an early lead but was forced to fight off a fourth-quarter Brighton rally to secure the win. The Panthers will play No. 1 Victor in the class B final game on Wednesday. Brighton, the sixth seed, finishes its season with a record of 9-10.    [ Story and BOX SCORE

HONEOYE FALLS-LIMA-21 at GENEVA-1 - Shaye Angelo led No. 3 Honeoye Falls-Lima with six goals, three assists, and 14 draw controls. Velia DeMaria scored the lone goal for No. 2 Geneva. The Cougars advance to take on No. 1 Pal-Mac in the class C final on Tuesday. Geneva finishes its season with a record of 14-4.    [ Story and BOX SCORE
