South Jefferson Gets Win Over Penn Yan
Penn Yan battled gamely but was unable to hold off highly-ranked South Jefferson (section III) in a class D regional matchup on Saturday, losing 17-7 at Christian Brothers Academy in Syracuse. Lydia Tremont led the scoring for South Jefferson with seven goals, while Emma Kelley added six goals and two assists. Lily Morrison had two goals and an assist, and Leyna Hodges recorded one goal and three assists. South Jefferson’s goaltender, Emma Vespa, made five saves.
