Three out of Four Games Close

Three of the four games tonight were within 3 goals: Irondequoit defeated Brighton 8-5, HFL defeated CNS 9-6 and Churchville-Chili defeated Waterloo 8-5.  The fourth game of the night saw Wayne defeating East Rochester 12-5.

Wayne scored the opening goal and although the game was tied 1-1, the Eagles never trailed.  They were led in scoring by Bailey Pratt (4g), Casey Hibbard (1g-3a) and Hannah Zenelovic (2g-2a).  East Rochester was led in scoring by Maddilyn Mulchay (3g).  Additional stats are HERE.

Churchville-Chili scored six goals in the first half and held off Waterloo in the second half, the Indians won the second half 3-2.  Leading in scoring for Waterloo were Keira O`Connor (2g-1a) and Alberta Eshenour (1g-2a).  Additional stats are HERE.

HFL played a close game against Section III team Cicero-North Syracuse.  The Northstars are 10-5 after today's contest with 2 of their losses coming from Section Five teams (they previously lost to Pittsford 10-7 and defeated Webster Thomas 13-6).  The Cougars took a three goal lead in the first 5-2 before the Northstars caught up to end the half 5-5.  They began the second half with the first four goals to take a lead that CNS could not come back from.  Additional stats are HERE.
