NEWARK-MIDLAKES-3 at GENEVA-18 - Geneva advanced in the Section V Class C quarterfinals with an 18-3 win over Newark-Midlakes on Friday, improving to 11-6. Senior Meghan Forbes led the way with six goals and an assist, freshman Velia DeMaria added five goals and three assists, and freshman Allison Marquart contributed four goals and two assists. Eighth-grader Aliyah Pesante-Rivera scored her first varsity goal. Maddie Askin made four saves at 57% in net.

For Newark-Midlakes, Zoey Overslaugh scored two goals and Jamie Lawson added one. Newark-Midlakes finishes 5-11 and Geneva advances to play L-A-G in the semifinals.
