Thirteen Games to Start Week 4

Another huge night in Section Five lacrosse.  With thirteen games, final scores ranged from a quadruple overtime in Penfield over Rush-Henrietta 7-6 to Penn Yan's 21-4 win over Midlakes.  Additional scores were Aquinas over Mercy 8-5, Victor defeated Oly/Arc 16-5, Churchville-Chili defeated Brockport 15-9, Wayne defeated Gates Chili 14-11, Mynderse defeated Geneva 17-5, Pal-Mac defeated Marcus Whitman 16-4, Waterloo defeated Newark 18-3, Canandaigua defeated Thomas 12-11, Schroeder defeated Eastridge 16-2, Fairport defeated Hilton 18-5 and Gananda defeated East Rochester 4-3.

GLaxFive had a reporter at the Victor vs. Greece Oly/Arc game.  The Blue Devils won 16-5.  The full report is HERE.

Canandaigua came back in the second half to defeat Thomas 12-11. A partial report with stats are HERE.

Wayne defeated Gates Chili 14-11.  A partial report with stats are HERE.

Alyssa Sproule scored the game winning goal off an assist from Megan Motkowski in the fourth overtime period to give Penfield the 7-6 win over Rush-Henrietta.  Additional stats are HERE.

Pal-Mac led 9-2 after the first half on their way to a 16-4 win over Marcus Whitman.  The Red Raiders were led in scoring by Anna Leva (2g-6a) and Andra Savage (4g-4a).  Emmy Arnold led Pal-Mac with 6 draw controls.  For the Wildcats, Abbie Alvord (1g-1a) and Emily Thompson (2g) led in scoring.  Thompson also led in draw controls (3) and groundballs (5).  Additional stats are HERE.

Gananda scored the lone goal of the first half and held that one goal lead to the end, defeating East Rochester 4-3.  For the Blue Panthers, Shelby Maiorano (3g) led in scoring.  For East Rochester, Maddilyn Mulcahy recorded 2g.  Additional stats are HERE.

Fairport defeated Hilton 18-5.  The Red Raiders scored 12 goals in the second half.  Five different players finished with over 4 points.  Maddie Howe (4g-1a) and Hannah Marafioti (3g-2a) finished with five points.  Additional stats are HERE.

Aquinas defeated Mercy 8-5.  Erica Knapp and Alana Piano each finished with 3g for the Little Irish.  Additional stats are HERE.

Waterloo had six players make their offensive scorebook in their 18-3 win over Newark.  Logan Castiglione recorded 4g-5a to lead the Indians.  Additional stats are HERE.

Churchville-Chili led 8-5 at the half, on their way to a 15-9 win over Brockport.  The Blue Devils were led in scoring by Leah Daly, who was a part of 8 of 9 points (4g-4a).  Additional stats will be updated HERE.

Mynderse defeated Geneva 17-5.  Sarah Shaffer finished with 4g-4a for the Blue Devils.  Gabby Cosentino (3 saves) and Briana Impastato (5 saves) split halves between the pipes.  Additional stats are HERE.

Penn Yan defeated Midlakes 21-4 after leading 15-4 after the first half.  Additional stats will be update HERE.

Webster Schroeder defeated Eastridge 16-2.  Victoria Gottorff (4g-2a) led in scoring for the Warriors.  Additional stats will be updated HERE.
