Arnold Leads Pal-Mac
Pal-Mac scored the first 11 goals in their 14-3 win over Waterloo. Sophomore Emma Arnold had a standout game for the Red Raiders. She finished with 4g-2a, 4 draw controls, 5 ground balls and 1 caused turnover. She was also a key defensive player in the game. Between the pipes, Sophia Leva also had a strong game for Pal-Mac, she recorded 6 saves and had 3 interceptions when she left the pipes.
There were multiple standout goals for Pal-Mac. Arnold ran through multiple defenders to put the ball into the top corner for the sixth Red Raider goal. One minute later, Andra Savage began the play with an interception on defense. She then ran the ball upfield and began an excellent give and go. She passed the ball to Jamie Walker and continued her cut. After the slide, Savage was open and Walker found her open coming towards the crease. For the Indians, Devon Reese fed Emily Smith from behind the cage for their first goal and then scored the final goal. For her goal, Reese came up the left side of the cage and faked a pass. After moving the defense, she cut back inside and scored unassisted.
For Waterloo, Sam Barnhard led in draw controls with five. Audrey O’Brien had two caused turnovers on an interception and a stick check. She had a good defensive game for the Indians. In the cage, Angela Cowles recorded six saves (2 off 8m shots). For the Red Raiders, Anna Leva (2g-2a) and Savage (3g-1a) joined Arnold in scoring. Defenseman Abigael LaRocca recorded 3 groundballs for Pal-Mac.
