Glagolev Leads Thomas to Victory

Thomas scored the first eight goals in their 13-10 win over Pal-Mac.  The Titans Emily Glagolev finished with 4g-1a and a team leading 10 draw controls.  She was one of the major factors in the win, making her presence known on offense and defense.  Her dominance at the draws caused the Red Raiders to double her at the circle.  That gave Gabriella Vasile free reign on the far side to win four draws herself.  The possession control helped the Titans control the pace of the game.

The Titan’s early goals were a combination of inside feeds and fast-break goals.  Nicole Voci finished the game with a team leading 3g-4a.  All four of her assists were in the first scoring volley.  One standout goal began with Voci driving from behind the cage.  When the defense picked her up, she looked across the crease for Glagolev.  The final Thomas goal of the half was scored with an inside feed from Glagolev to Sydney Dron.  Glagolev passed the ball to where Dron would be as she cut into the crease.  The Titans led 9-4 at halftime.

Coming out of the half, Pal-Mac scored two quick goals.  The first was a drive from behind the cage by Anna Leva.  She came along the right side of the cage and put the shot into the top corner for a goal.  Two minutes later they scored again with a feed from Leva to Aldyn Savage on the crease.  Thomas responded with three more goals including a rebound goal from Voci.  Pal-Mac scored two goals in the final 30 seconds to finish the game.  For Thomas, Haley Barrett recorded 7 saves.  For the Red Raiders, Sophia Leva recorded 10 saves.
