Monday - Schroeder and Thomas Win in OT
There were two overtime wins for Webster today as Schroeder beat Spencerport 9-8 and Thomas beat Fairport 10-9.
ITHACA 17 - PENN YAN 7 - In the first of two non-league games played today, Penn Yan fell to a tough Ithaca squad, losing 17-7. Eighth-grader Bailey Cooper had a solid all-around game for the Mustangs. In addition to her four goals, she contributed three draw controls, three ground balls, and a caused turnover. Avery Castner (2g) and Kaley Griffin (1g/2a) also scored for Penn Yan. The Mustangs host Bishop Kearney on Friday. [BOXSCORE]
THOMAS 10 - FAIRPORT 9 OT - Freshman Addison Schaeffer had the game winning goal in double overtime. It was on her six team-leading goals in the game. Megan Springer made 13s (59%) in the goal. There were no statistics reported from Fairport at post time. [BOXSCORE]
SCHROEDER 9 - SPENCERPORT 8 OT -Freshman midfielder Brooke Guelli scored one of here four goals in overtime to give Schroeder the win. Lucy Starzyk had 10s (56%) for the Warriors who will play Mercy on Wednesday. Sophomore midfielder Molly Guzik led the Ranger offense with 3g and 6 DCs. [BOXSCORE]
GREECE STORM 11 - BISHOP KEARNEY 5 - Bishop Kearney and Greece Storm were tied early in the second half before the Storm pulled away for a 11-5 home victory. Alison Dioguardi (5g/1a), Mackenzie Gibaud (1g/7a), and Mara Misiurewicz (4g/1a) all hit the scoring sheet for Greece, and Emily Scheuer registered seven saves. The Storm is 4-1. NEW CANAAN 7 - VICTOR 8 - In Connecticut, Victor jumped out to a 5-2 halftime lead and held on to defeat New Canaan, 8-7. Olivia Bruno (2g), Devin Livingston (3g), Ella Pierpont (1g), and Eva Pronti (2g/3a) led the offense. Devin Livingston also had four draw controls. Victor improved its record to 5-1. [BOXSCORE]
