Friday: Fairport and Thomas Win by One Goal

DAY IN REVIEW: FRIDAY - There were six games played today and a couple were very close ones. a Ranger tying goal at the end of the game was called by giving the Red Raiders an 11-10 win. Thomas also won an 11-10 game with Brighton. Other winners were Schroeder, Rush-Henrietta, Hilton, and Waterloo-Marcus Whitman.

SPENCERPORT-10 at FAIRPORT-11 -Spencerport gave Fairport all they could handle in Fairport tonight, but ultimately the Class A Red Raiders were able to hold off the Rangers to secure a one goal victory at home by a score of 11-10.  For Fairport, who is now 12-2 on the season, Katie Mallaber (3g-1a), Ella Peers (4g) and Makayla Keys (3g-1a) all had 4 point nights to ensure Fairport remained on top, while Spencerport’s Raquel Circhirillo (4g), Molly Guzik (1g-4a) and Alyssa Nichols (3g) kept the Rangers close, and Goalie McKenna Hussar saved 12 of Fairport’s 23 shots on goal.  Spencerport is now 7-6 on the season.    [ BOX SCORE

HONEOYE FALLS-LIMA-2 at RUSH-HENRIETTA-13 - Rush-Henrietta won their 4th straight game tonight to improve their record to 14-1, easily dispatching HFL by a score of 13-2.  As is customary for the Royal Comets, 7 different players found their way into the scorebook, led by Catrina Rowe (2g-3a), Kate DeWald (4g) and Danielle Garrett (3g).  Seniors, Marlee Green and Clare Ruff scored the only goals for HFL, who falls to 9-5 with the loss.    [ BOX SCORE

CHURCHVILLE-CHILI-7 at HILTON-15 - Hilton defended their home turf tonight, almost doubling up Churchville-Chili 15-7.  The result of the game evens both teams records at 4-10.  The highest scorers for Hilton were Leah Kunisch (4g-3a), Lilly Mattucci (5g), and Charley Barlette (3g-1a).  Incomplete information was submitted for Churchville-Chili at time of post.     [ BOX SCORE

NEWARK-MIDLAKES-2 at WATERLOO-MARCUS WHITMAN-12 - Waterloo-MW welcomed Newark-Midlakes tonight, and defeated them 12-2.  Maci Mueller (2g-5a), Lainie Forde (4g-1a), and Natalie DiSanto (3g-1a) led the way to victory, bringing Waterloo-MW to 9-4.  They will travel to Pal-Mac Monday for what promises to be a tough battle.  No Book was submitted for Newark-Midlakes at time of post.   [ BOX SCORE

THOMAS-11 at BRIGHTON-10 - Webster Thomas travelled to Brighton and defeated the home Bruins 11-10.  Thomas opened up a one goal lead in the first half and held serve in the second half to squeak out the victory.  The win pulls Thomas to 0.500 at 7-7, and the loss for Brighton places them at 6-8 as the two teams jockey for sectional seeding.  Brighton will host HFL on Monday, while Thomas will host Hilton.  No book was submitted for either team at time of post.   [ BOX SCORE

BROCKPORT-1 at SCHROEDER-14 - Webster Schroeder easily handled visiting Brockport tonight by a score of 14-1.  Webster Schroeder improves to 4-10, and Brockport is now 5-9.  Schroeder travels to 12-2 Fairport on Monday, While Brockport remains on the road on Wednesday when they will face Greece Storm.
