Geneva Wins Match Against Brockport

In its season opener on Monday, Geneva achieved a decisive 15-3 win over Brockport. The Panthers established control early, holding Brockport scoreless through the first quarter and building a 10-1 halftime lead. Eighth-grade midfielder Mackenna Harris made her varsity debut unforgettable, scoring five goals and winning 10 draw controls. Junior attacker Meghan Forbes (4g/1a) reached a milestone with her 50th career goal. Velia DeMaria added four goals and three assists in her debut. Geneva goalie Maddie Askin made three saves with a 60% save percentage in 43 minutes to help secure the victory.

The game marked a series of firsts for several of Geneva's younger players. Mackenna Harris, Velia DeMaria, and Evelyn Little each scored her first varsity goal, showcasing Geneva's bright future. Geneva now looks forward to hosting Greece Storm on Tuesday, April 1, while Brockport will face Churchville-Chili on Wednesday, April 2.
