Mercy Claims Victory Over Aquinas-WOIS
Mercy secured a decisive win against Aquinas-WOIS, 18-7, in a game that showcased the Monarchs` depth and teamwork. Eight different players contributed to Mercy`s scoring, with standout performances from Sydney Cook, who led the team with four goals and three assists, and Mia Quagrello, who added three goals and two assists. Krista Harnischfeger (3g), Mia Lusardi (2g/1a) and Maddie Craig (2g) all scored multiple goals for the Monarchs. In goal, sophomore Elinor Meyer stopped all five shots she faced in her 24 minutes of play.
For Aquinas-WOIS, Savannah Hinchcliffe led with three goals, followed by Brynn Henry with two. Alexandria Stacy and Marilena Diaz contributed one goal apiece.
Mercy remains unbeaten with a 2-0 record, while Aquinas-WOIS slips to 3-2 for the season. Mercy looks ahead to hosting Waterloo on Friday, and Aquinas-WOIS prepares for a showdown against Spencerport on April 21. [ Story and BOX SCORE]
