Geneva Triumphs in Non-League Showdown at Eastridge
Geneva secured a 14-10 victory over Eastridge/BK in a non-league game on Tuesday night, improving their undefeated record to 6-0. The Panthers were led by Meghan Forbes (5g/4a), Makenna Harris (5g/3a), and Velia DeMaria (2g/3a). Evelyn Little and Allison Marquart rounded out the scoring with a goal apiece.
Eastridge/BK fought hard in its season opener but fell short. Leading the scoring for Eastridge/BK were Neely Hawn (4g) and Ada Krupa (3g/1a). Ninth-grader Callie McCullough had two goals, including the first of her varsity career. Eighth-grader Maize Wilner collected eight draw controls. Goalie Mikayla Kaczor recorded six saves in 48 minutes of play.
The series history between the teams is now tied at two wins apiece. Both teams will look to build on their performances in upcoming games, with the Panthers heading to Livonia-Avon-Geneseo on Wednesday, and Eastridge/BK hosting Brockport on Friday.
