Eight Games Finish April

There were eight games played on the last day of April.  Half were close and half were one-sided.  R-H defeated Schroeder 9-8, Eastridge defeated Newark 8-7, Corning defeated Canandaigua 12-8 and Penfield defeated Churchville-Chili 9-4.  On the other side of the coin, Irondequoit defeated Livonia 17-4, Victor defeated Hilton 17-5, Thomas defeated Lancaster 17-6 and Brighton defeated Mercy 22-5.

Penfield led 4-2 at the half and Megan Motkowski led with 3g.  Additional stats are HERE.

Newark scored the opening goal before Eastridge scored five straight to take a 5-1 halftime lead.  The Reds fought back to a tie (7-7) with 5:41 remianing before Grace Hawes scored hte game winning goal for the Lancers.  Eastridge was led by Sofia Agurto-Munding with 3g.  Additional stats are HERE.

RH scored the first four goals and held the lead for the entire contest.  Schroeder fought back late and tied the game at 7-7 and 8-8, but could not take the lead.  The game winning goal was scored by Gabby Garrett with 2:12 remaining on the clock.  Payton Lill scored 2g-1a and Kennedy Walters scored 4g for the Warriors.  Additional stats are HERE.

Victor led 16-0 at halftime and 10 different Blue Devils made the offensive score book.  Brenna Fosco (1g-6a) led in scoring with Kaci Messier (3g-2a) and Elaney Schottland (3g-1a) also adding to the tally.  Additional stats are HERE.

Irondequoit's Marina Butler finished with 6a for the Eagles.  Additional stats are HERE.

Mercy's Izzy Stockman had 4 goals in their loss to Brighton.  Additional stats are HERE.

Corning scored seven of the first nine to lead 7-2.  The Braves fought back in the second half, but never got closer than three.  Baylee Ojeda finished with 3g for the Braves.  Additional stats are HERE

Only the score was reported for Thomas vs. Lancaster
