Greece Storm Prevails Over Aquinas-WOIS
Greece Storm finished strong to earn an 11-7 victory over Aquinas-WOIS in a non-league matchup on Wednesday. Clinging to a one-goal lead after three quarters, the Storm broke the game open with three unanswered goals in the final frame.
Leading the attack for Greece Storm (6-7) were Erica Savage (5g/4a) and Emma Dioguardi (4g). Madelyn Lovejoy and Hannah Lovejoy added one goal apiece. Ava Torrence was outstanding in goal, recording 18 saves for a 72% save rate in 48 minutes of play.
For Aquinas-WOIS (6-8), Brynn Henry, Haley Bennett, and Kessa Sangasy each scored two goals, with Elizabeth Valentino adding one. Brynn Henry was also stalwart in the draw circle, winning 12 draw controls.
