Victor Rallies to Edge Irondequoit

DAY IN REVIEW: FRIDAY - Victor overcame a two-goal halftime deficit to edge Irondequoit 13-11 for its fifth win, while HF-L's Shaye Angelo posted four goals and six assists in a 16-2 win over Churchville-Chili and Penfield cruised past Rush-Henrietta Schroeder at Brighton18-8. Brighton extended its winning streak over Schroeder to 14 with a 9-7 win despite five goals from Schroeder's Molly Meyer, and Greece Storm's Haley Duxbury had four goals in a 14-6 win over Gananda-Marion.

DAY IN REVIEW: THURSDAY - Three of today's five girls lacrosse games went to overtime, headlined by Pal-Mac's comeback win over Livonia-Avon-Geneseo and walk-off goals from Canandaigua's Leah Sheridan and Newark-Midlakes' Zoey Overslaugh. DAY IN REVIEW: WEDNESDAY - Wednesday's girls lacrosse action saw Victor go past Honeoye Falls-Lima 16-5 behind three goals and five assists from Meaghan O'Brien and 11 saves from Mia Finocchario, while Livonia-Avon-Geneseo improved to 3-0 with a 15-4 win over Wayne as Maddie Whitford, Lily Rowe, and Sidney Clickner combined for 11 goals. Hilton held off a late three-goal rally to edge Schroeder 4-3, Gates Chili topped Brockport 7-5 despite nine saves from Jessica Maher, and Pal-Mac got three goals each from Anabelle Grant and Teagan Hudak in an 18-4 win over Gananda-Marion. Dominant Performances Highlight Busy Day

DAY IN REVIEW: MONDAY - Monday's 13-game slate was filled with dominant performances and milestone wins. Canandaigua, Victor, Hilton, Aquinas, and Gananda at AQHoneoye Falls-Lima were among the teams posting lopsided victories. Several players stood out individually, including Lucy Whipple (6g/6 draw controls) for Irondequoit, Camryn DuBose (4g/2a) and Brenna Goss (3g/2a) for Fairport, and Zoey Overslaugh (5g/1a) for Newark-Midlakes. The day's best finish came in the Pittsford-Penfield matchup, where Whitney Reynolds converted a free-position shot with two minutes remaining to lift Penfield to a 12-11 victory. Churchville-Chili also continued to own Brockport, making it eight straight wins in that rivalry.

DAY IN REVIEW: FRIDAY - Friday's girls lacrosse action featured a notable upset as Gates Chili ended a 12-game losing streak against Greece Storm with a 9-8 win, despite 12 saves from the Storm's Ava Torrence. Penfield's Peyton Rothfuss posted three goals, one assist, and nine draw controls in a 17-12 win over CNS, Hilton's Brynn Graves and Ryleigh Lent combined for seven goals in a 15-7 win over Churchville-Chili, and Geneva got 14 combined goals from Meghan Forbes, Allison Marquart, and Makenna Harris in an 18-6 win over Brockport. Irondequoit remained unbeaten with an 18-1 win at Pal-Mac, and the Seneca Lakers picked up their first win of the season with a 19-5 defeat of Gananda-Marion.

DAY IN REVIEW: TUESDAY - Two teams earned their first victories of the season Tuesday. Penfield edged Honeoye Falls-Lima 10-7, despite HF-L goalie Sarah McLaughlin reaching 100 career saves. Churchville-Chili routed Mynderse/Romulus/Waterloo 12-5 behind eight combined goals from Shavonne Callahan and Abigail DeVries. Fairport earned its second win, defeating Hilton 10-4, with Brenna Goss and Camryn DuBose each netting three goals.

DAY IN REVIEW: MONDAY - There were four games on the slate today, and the Newark-Midlakes/Aquinas matchup was far and away the most action-packed with a combined 26 goals between the two teams, and individual efforts from Zoey Overslaugh and Brynn Henry that would headline any day. The other three games were all lopsided, including CNS over Brighton, Gates Chili winning its opener, and  Pittsford looking like a team to beat in its win over CBA.
