Penfield and Sayville (Section XI) faced off in a non-league matchup, with Sayville securing an overtime victory by a score of 11 to 10. Despite trailing by six goals at halftime, the Patriots rallied and tied the game at ten with 22 seconds remaining in regulation, when Avery Fordham scored off a feed from Peyton Rothfuss. But Penfield was unable to build on its momentum in overtime and Sayville ultimately scored the game-winner on a goal by UNC commit Sophia Buffardi.

Several of the Patriots turned in outstanding performances. Avery Fordham led the attack with three goals. Jenna Capozzi contributed two goals and some exceptional all-around play. Aleah Petre had 10 draw controls and helped the Patriots maintain a significant advantage in the draw circle. Whitney Reynolds, Emma Alexander, Peyton Rothfuss, Aleah Petre, and Olivia Lanning each scored a goal, and Karis Hand recorded five saves.
