enfield scored 1:39 into the first overtime period with Sydney Nakas scoring off an 8m opportunity.  The Patriots defeated Brighton 9-8 to become 2-0 on the season.  Leading the charge for Penfield was junior Elisa Faklaris with 5g.  Haley Emmick (1g) was also a major player after controlling 6 draw controls.  Brighton was led by three different players who all finished with 2g: Elise Murphy (2g-2a), Delaney McManus (2g-1a) and Katherine Murray (2g).

onight was another big night of games with 12 games on the books.  Scoring is still pending for Penfield vs. Hilton, Wayne vs. Brockport and Victor vs. Gates Chili and will be updated when reported.  The closest matchup of the nights were three one goal games: Irondequoit over Brighton 10-9, Thomas over Churchville-Chili 8-7 and Gananda over Livonia 8-7.  The remaining scores were Aquinas over Geneva 13-5, Canandaigua over Schroeder 15-7, Marcus Whitman over Newark-Midlakes 12-7, Pittsford over Fairport 13-7, Spencerport over Eastridge 21-2 and Rush Henrietta over Greece Storm 17-3.

There were 10 games scheduled tonight with most being extremely one sided.  The close matchup was Rush-Henrietta defeating Penfield 13-12.  Additional scores were Pittsford over Hilton 19-4, Spencerport over HFL 11-5, Brighton over Brockport 22-1, Canandaigua over Churchville-Chili 14-7, Victor over Thomas 7-5, Schroeder over Gates Chili 17-1, Irondequoit over Eastridge 17-2 and Fairport over Greece Storm 16-5.

There were 11 games scheduled for tonight in Section Five; we are still pending scores for Eastridge vs. Thomas and Mercy vs. Clarence.  Hopefully, those will be updated soon.  Of the nine remaining games, half were decided by over 10 points.  There were still close match-ups with Geneva defeating Wayne 9-8 and Waterloo defeating Aquinas 8-7.  The remaining scores were Marcus Whitman over Gananda 17-6, Churchville-Chili over Brockport 15-4, Spencerport over Victor 18-5, Mynderse-Romulus over Livonia 18-8, Hilton over Penn Yan 13-6, Brighton over Schroeder 16-7 and Irondequoit over Gates Chili 21-2.

There were nine games tonight in Section Five.  The closest matchup was Schroeder's 12-10 win over Hilton.  Mynderse-Romulus defeated Newark-Midlakes by 3 (9-6) and Mercy defeated Pal-Mac by 4 (13-9).  The remaining scores were Brighton over Victor 13-5, Irondequoit over Churchville-Chili 16-3, Greece Storm over Eastridge 15-3, Gananda over Jordan-Elbridge 14-5, Thomas over Brockport 12- and Penfield over HFL 13-3.

# 412  Brighton Defeats Pal-Mac
righton scored the first three goals and eight of the first ten in their 11-5 win over Pal-Mac.  The Barons were dominate on offense and strong on defense during the entire 50 minute contest.  Brighton Defenseman Eileen Kelly was a standout force on the field.  She recorded 5 caused turnovers including a pair of single pressure takes with just her vs. the Pal-Mac ball carrier.  She was joined by Hayley Zielinski, Piper Davis and Brogan Holbrough to keep the Pal-Mac offensive from being able to turn up the pressure.
