he Rochester Democrat and Chronicle announced their 2017 All-Greater Rochester Lacrosse team on Friday. The list features the top sixteen players and a number of honorable mentions were led by HFL senior Caitlin Muir who was named Player of the Year. She finished the season with 64g-30a.  She will continue to play next season at Michigan.

There were eleven matches tonight in Section Five.  The closest match-up was Gates Chili over Ath/Ody 16-15.  Canandaigua defeated Schroeder in a two goal contest 11-9 and Aquinas defeated Penn Yan 9-7.  Additional scores included, Pittsford over Marcellus 14-10, Churchville-Chili over Brockport 14-6, Pal-Mac over Penfield 18-7, Spencerport over Lake Shore 22-10, Gananda over Newark 7-4, Mynderse over East Rochester 15-6, Brighton over Victor 10-3 and Fairport over Irondequoit 14-5.

here were a total of six games played today.  The closest contest was Brighton over Thomas 5-4.  Waterloo defeated Wayne 17-9, Mynderse defeated Marcus Whitman 6-3, Pal-Mac defeated Gananda 15-2, Spencerport defeated Brockport 17-8 and Penn Yan defeated Geneva 20-5.

pencerport scored four of the last five goals to comeback and defeat Canandaigua 10-9.  The Rangers did not take their first lead of the game until 4:56 remaining in the second half.

# 211  Coykendall Leads Spencerport
Emily Coykendall was a part of all six first quarter goals in Spencerport's 12-8 win over Webster Thomas.  The Rangers led 6-2 at the half and held off the late advance by the Titans.  Thomas scored five out of six straight goals near the end of the second half (the final goal of the game was an open net goal for the Rangers).

t the conclusion of the Class B Tournament.  Section Five announced the first ever All Tournament Team.  The Team consists of the top 13 players in the Class B Tournament this year.  There are 12 regular spots and an MVP spot.

The Semi-Final match-ups will be played over the next two days.  The Class A games will played on May 26th at HF-L.  The Class B game will be played on May 27th at Pittsford Sutherland.  The Class C games will be played on May 27th at Victor.

With the final week of the regular season upon us, tonight was the biggest night of games left in the season.  The closest game tonight was Corning over Penn Yan 12-11 in overtime and Waterloo over Geneva 8-7 in overtime.  Other close games included, Brockport over Hilton 8-7, Irondequoit over Canandaigua 8-7 and Brighton over HFL 6-5.  Additional games were Churchville-Chili over Victor 11-7, Pittsford over Thomas 18-8, Fairport over Penfield 12-8, Arc/Oly over Gates Chili 15-6, Gananda over East Rochester 9-5, Wayne over Newark 12-7, Spencerport over Eastridge 19-2 and RH over Mercy 16-4.

Victor came back in the second half to defeat Webster Thomas 10-8.  Rush-Henrietta came out strong in the first half to defeat HFL 10-5.  Waterloo defeated East Rochester 12-3, Spencerport defeated Arc/Oly 16-7 and Pal-Mac defeated Amherst 11-2.  No score has been reported for Pittsford vs. Corning or Penfield vs. CBA.

# 75  Four Games on Friday
ith four games being played, two games were two-goal contests and two were more one sided.  Fairport defeated R-H 13-11 and Livonia defeated Mynderse 13-11.  The other two games were Victor over Canandaigua 13-6 and Spencerport over Brockport 15-1.

# 65  Spencerport Scores Six in Second Half
Spencerport came back from a 5-3 deficit at halftime to defeat Churchville-Chili 9-6.  This is the first time that Spencerport has defeated Churchville-Chili since 2009. The Rangers scored four unanswered goals to start the quarter and held the Saints offense to only a single goal in the second half.  Freshman midfielder Erin Coykendall was demonstrative in the contest; she finished the game with 3g-4a.  She was a part of the first 7 goals for the Rangers with the final two goals coming once the Saints had sent their goalie to double the ball.  Coykendall also finished with a team leading six draw controls, which were instrumental in maintaining possession in the second half. Coykendall leads the Rangers in total goals (16), total assists (13) and draw controls (16).

With nine games being played, tonight was the biggest night of the season.  The closest contest was HFL over Penfield 11-10 in overtime.  Another close game was Canandaigua over R-H 8-5.  There were also a number of one sided contests with Hilton defeated Eastridge 22-0, Spencerport over Arc/Oly 22-4 and Brockport 13-2 over Ath/Ody.
