# 154  2016 Herb Fitch Senior Games Played Today

The Rochester Chapter of USLacrosse along with the Rochester Knighthawks sponsored the 2016 Senior games for both senior boys and senior girls today at Victor High School. It a warm but beautiful night and a "final game" for the seniors, chosen from throughout Section Five to play in one last high school game.

# 149  2016 Herb Fitch Senior All Star Game

The Rochester Chapter of USLacrosse has announced the 2016 Herb Fitch Lacrosse All Star Game player selections. This year's contest, featuring some of the best of the graduating seniors will be held on Friday, June 17th at Victor High School. The girls' game will start at 5:00 PM before the boys' play at 7:00 PM.

Tickets for the Senior All Star Games will be $5.00 for adults and $2.00 for students. Concessions will be available.

All players need to visit the Registration Page and indicate if they are planning to play or not. Other information is available on that page. Registration is complete.

# 147  Finger Lakes End of Season Awards

Finger Lakes end of season awards come in with 24 First and 24 Second Team All County Players.  There are also 22 Honorable Mention Players.  In addition there were 2 All Americans and 2 Academic All Americans.  As well as Co-Defensive Players of the Year, a Midfielder of the Year and an Offensive Player of the Year.

# 143  Class C All Tournament Team

At the conclusion of the Class C Tournament.  Section Five announced the first ever All Tournament Team.  The Team consists of the top 13 players in the Class C Tournament this year.  There are 12 regular spots and an MVP spot.

# 120  Barnhart Scores in Overtime for Waterloo

Sam Barnhart scored her first goal of the night for Waterloo to give them the 8-7 overtime win over Geneva.  Both teams had the lead during regulation with the game being tied from 3-3 on to the final.  The Panthers took an early lead, but Waterloo scored four out of five straight goals to go into the second half tied 4-4.

As we approach the final weeks of the season, it seemed appropriate to write an article about statistics in Section Five.  When GLaxFive launched, we chose not to include a leader board, but as the season has progressed it is a decision that we re-visited.  For this season, we hope to publish a few articles that can fill that gap.

# 82  All Five Games Won By At Least 10 Points

Tonight's contests were all one sided with Geneva, Marcus Whitman, Penn Yan, Waterloo and Pal-Mac all winning by at least 10 points.  The biggest scorer of the night was Alicia Reuscher from Geneva.

# 55  Six Different Scorers Lift Waterloo over Geneva

In a game that was never more than two goals apart, Waterloo defeated Geneva 7-5.  The Indians had six different girls score their seven goals.  There were only two times in the entire game where the same team scored back to back with Waterloo adding two both times.  All five goals for Geneva were scored by different girls.

# 18  2015 All-Greater Rochester

The 2015 All Greater Rochester list was published at the end of the season and Webster Thomas senior Emily Resnick was named the 2015 Player of the Year by the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle.  All told, sixteen players were noted on the list.  Leading the charge were players from Churchville Chili, Victor, Pittsford and Irondequoit with two players each.
